Henrys Angels support the MoonWalk

London to
raise awareness of Breast Cancer

Gillingham, 12 May 2014 Henrys Angels, a group of volunteers from Henry Schein UK,
one of the leading providers of healthcare products and services to office-based dental,
medical and animal health practitioners in the United Kingdom, and based in Gillingham,
Kent, supported for the second time the MoonWalk

London on Saturday, 10 May 2014. The

MoonWalk

is organised by breast cancer grant making charity walkthewalk

which has to
date raised over 84 million for vital breast cancer care and cancer research causes. The
MoonWalk

London is already in its 17th year.

Organised by Henrys Angels and led by Team Schein Member Amanda Jarvis, one of the
largest volunteer groups with a total of 47 Team Schein Members and their families made
their way to Clapham Common to take on several important tasks. On the 6pm until Midnight
shift, Team Schein Members acted as Directional Marshals who were based in the main tent
and responsible for directing walkers to their designated start time areas. Other Team Schein
Members sold temporary tattoos and balloons with Moonwalk/Breast Cancer logos to the
walkers, raising vital funds for the charity.

Team Schein Member, Ellie Nightingale, Founder of Henrys Angels, and Julie Kemp, also a
Team Schein Member, joined to support the Moonwalk

participating in the marathon itself.

Ellie Nightingale, who already volunteered last year as a crew member, said: Last time, it
was a great experience to support Moonwalk and help raise awareness of Breast Cancer;
therefore I walked the midnight half marathon this time in honour of my Mum who is a breast
cancer survivor twice over. I am very proud of her. Julie Kemp recently finished her
treatment for breast cancer and walked the full marathon with 17 family members
accompanying her. Julie said: In May 2013, I joined the marvelous Henry's Angels and
volunteered along with my daughter and my partner at the London Moonwalk event, little did
I know that two months later I would be diagnosed with breast cancer myself. It's been the
biggest fight of my life but one that I have just finished. I am raising money for the very same
charities that helped me get through the last 7 months.

Henrys Angels was formed in January 2011 by Team Schein Members Ellie Nightingale, Lyn
Yorke and Lynsey van Wyk who wanted to put together a long lasting programme of
volunteers wishing to give something back to the local community. Henrys Angels have gone
from strength to strength, so far organizing 13 projects that have included over 150
volunteers working over 3,000 hours. The Angels support four projects each year and have
already received tremendous support from local companies, hotels and services. Henrys
Angels believe that time is the most valuable commodity they can give and together they can
make a big difference.
