It was on this day that the constitution of India became a truly Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state and finally enjoyed the freedom of spirit and the rule of law. On this day India announced its arrival on the world stage as a disciplined democratic country. IIS also witnessed a glimpse of the same. Students from Classes 1 st to 12 th were seen participating in the grand event organized at ICG. Brimming with excitement and energy they showcased great skills and discipline through numerous activities. The flag was hosted by the Director, Dr. Ashok Gupta and all the students as well as the IIS fraternity were seen saluting the flag which had instilled in everyone a sense of pride and national fervor. Our students showcased the programme in front of the esteemed chief guest, XYZ who himself is a true patriot and a role model for the young generation. Starting with the drill, the perfect example of coordination of the mind, body and soul the event started on a high. The schools NCC cadets along with the house commanders leading their respective houses executed a perfect march in front of the full house to great applause. This was followed by Judo, the need of the hour and the students conveyed the message that knowledge about self-defense is a prerequisite no matter who you are. Then came the little gymnasts with the poise and grace that reminded the audience of the young Nadia Comaneci and stunned the audience with their precise and daredevil acts. The audience also witnessed a patriotic group song performance by the IISians. The event ended on a high with Gupta Sir delivering a morale boosting speech for the young guns that lifted their spirits to another high. Jai Hind !
