This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the students/trainees to gather
interpret and convey information in response to workplace requirement; to promote career growth and
advancement; to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements for occupational health and
safety; on taking measurements and calculations, identifying, interpreting, and analyzing and interpreting
symbols in plans and drawings, analyzing quality of works and performing computer operations. It
includes basic, common and core competencies in technical drafting such as; raft architectural layout
and details and !repare computer"aided drawings. # lecture"lab course in which topics are presented by
the instructor, practice drawings are e$plained, and assigned drawings are completed by students both
during lab periods and outside of class. %b&ective and drawing"type quizzes are given daily, and there is a
comprehensive final e$am.
