baptisms, and churchings should be solemnized
or performed at such church, and that the
fees to be received in respect of the publication
of such banns and of the solemnization or per-
formance of the said offices should be paid and
belong to the minister of the same church for the
time being: Provided always, that so long as the
Reverend James Felham Fitcairn, the present
Vicar or Incumbent of the vicarage of the said
parish of Eccles, shall continue to be such Yicar
or Incumbent, all the fees which may be received
in- respect of the performance of the offices afore-
said at such church shall be paid by the minister
thereof to the said James Pelham Pitcairn.
"We, therefore, humbly pray, that your Ma"
jesty will be graciously pleased to take the pre~
mises into your Royal consideration, and to make
such Order \ vith respect thereto as to your Majesty,
in your Royal wisdom, shall seem meet.
The SCHEDULE to which the foregoing
Representation has reference.
"The District Chapelry of Saint James, Hope,
being:
"All that part of the parish of Eccles, in the
county of Lancaster, and in the diocese of Man-
chester, wherein the present Incumbent of such
parish now possesses the exclusive cure of souls,
which is bounded on the north partly by the
District Chapelry of Saint Peter, Swinton, and
partly by the Particular District of Saint John
the Evangelist, Pendlebury, both sometime part
of the said parish of Eccles; on the east, partly
by the said Particular District, and partly by the
District Chapelry of Saint Luke, Weaste, also
sometime part of the same parish ; and on the
other sides thereof, that is to say, on the south and
west, by an imaginary line commencing upon the
boundary which divides the said parish of Eccles
from the District Chapelry of Saint Luke, Weaste
aforesaid, at the. point in the middle of the line
of the Liverpool and Manchester Branch of the
London and North Western Railway, where it is
intersected by a certain ancient watercourse which
flows past Little Bolton into .the River Irwell,
and extending thence westward along the middle
of the said branch line of railway for a distance
of forty-seven chains or thereabouts to a certain
brook called 'Gilda Brook,' which is the boundaiy
dividing the township of Pendleton, in the said
parish of Eccles, from the township of Barton
upon Irwell, in the same parish, and extending
thence in'a direction generally northward along
the last described boundary to its junction with
the boundary which divides the said parish of
Eccles from the District Chapelry of Saint Peter,
Swinton aforesaid."
And whereas the said representation has been
approved by Her Majesty in Council: now, there-
fore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her
said Council, is pleased hereby to ratify the said
representation, and to order and direct that the
same and every part thereof shall be effectual in
law immediately from and after the time when
this Order shall have been duly published in the
London Gazette, pursuant to the said Acts ; and
Her Majesty, by and with the like advice, is
pleased hereby to direct that this Order be forth-
with registered by the Registrar of the said diocese
of Manchester.

HEREAS by an Act, passed in the
session of Parliament held in the
eighteenth and nineteenth years of Her Majesty's
reign, intituled "An Act further to amend the
"laws concerning the burial of the dead in
"England,"it is, amongst other things, enacted
that it shall be lawful for Her Majesty, by and with
the advice of Her Privy Council, from time to time,
lo postpone the time appointed by any Order in
Council for the discontinuance of burials, or other-
wise to vary any Order in Council made under any
of the Acts recited in the said Act, or under the
said Act (whether the time thereby appointed for
the discontinuance of burials thereunder, or other
operation of such Order, shall or shall not have
arrived), as to Her Majesty, with such advice as
aforesaid, may seem fit;
And whereas Orders in Council have been
made, directing the discontinuance of burials in
the churchyard and burial-ground hereinafter
mentioned, from the time specified in such Orders
respectively; and whereas it seems fit to Her
Majesty, by and with the advice of Her Privy
Council, that the time for discontinuing burials
in the said churchyard and burial-ground be post-
poned j
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the
advice aforesaid, is pleased to order, and it is
hereby ordered, that the time for the discontinu-
ance of burials in. such churchyard and burial-
ground be postponed as follows ; viz.:
In the Churchyard, and in the Independent
Chapel Burial-ground, Chipping Ongar, to
the thirty-first of December, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-six.

under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Ireland, bearing date the 24th
