The document describes 5 experiments tracking the spread of bacteria on a grid over time. In each experiment, bacteria were initially placed in the grid and could spread to adjacent cells based on different rules. The number of bacteria in each time period was recorded. Experiment 1 only allowed spreading up, down, left and right, resulting in an exponential growth pattern. Experiment 5 allowed spreading in all directions including diagonally, resulting in much higher bacteria numbers compared to the other experiments.

Show hot a single bacteria cell spreads when it copied itself to every adjacent
cell (up, down, right and left) except it cant go diagonally.

The second time I start with four bacterium going diagonally, within a minute the bacteria can spared up, down, right and left, however it cant spared diagonally.

However a got the same results as the second one. The fourth time I moved the starting bacterium to start at the corner of the dish, but still followed the rule of only able to spared up, down, right and left.

However I got the same results as the first time. Because of this I changed the rule again. In the last one i changed the rule again; know the bacterium can spread up, down, right, left and diagonally. And as you can see the number of bacteria increases significantly.
