The band name is big, bold and broken has a

heavy black outline. This makes is punchy and

aggressive, in keeping with the rebellious nature
of punk rock.

flamboyantly aggressive and in-
your-face.
The album has a gritty,
dirty overlay which
makes it look rough
and messy. It imperfect
and unclean.
The singer from the band, Billy Joe
Armstrong is shown in a high contrast,
black and white photo. His hair is messy
and wild and he wears eye makeup
typical of the punk style. He is resented
so as to look similar to Sid Vicious, from
the Sex Pistols the band who led the
punk rock movement in the eighties.
The crosses crudely
drawn over the eyes
are a popular piece
of punk iconography.
