Modes of Existence
A very nice project, carried on by Bruno Latour
and some other smart people
Not so long ago, the project that would have seen
modernization spread over the whole planet
came up against unexpected opposition from
the planet itself. Should we give up, deny the
problem, or grit our teeth and hope for a mira
cle? Alternatively we could inquire into what
this modern project has meant so as to find out
how it can be begun again on a new footing.

Nostalghia
Let everything that's been planned come true.
Let them believe. And let them have a laugh at
their passions. Because what they call passion
actually is not some emotional energy, but just
the friction between their souls and the outside
world. And most important, let them believe in
themselves. Let them be helpless like children,
because weakness is a great thing, and strength is
nothing. When a man is just born, he is weak and
flexible. When he dies, he is hard and insensitive.
When a tree is growing, it's tender and pliant. But
when it's dry and hard, it dies. Hardness and
strength are death's companions. Pliancy and
weakness are expressions of the freshness of
being. Because what has hardened will never
win.

...with that in mind, Id like to present a 31-day
roadmap and challenge for your journaling. Doing
something for around 30 days is a great way to not
only build a habit, but to also explore if its right
for you. Maybe journaling isnt for you, and you
just have never taken the time to really prove that
to yourself. Or maybe you love the practice, and
simply havent gotten into the habit yet. Either
way, I hope this calendar presents you with ample
opportunity to take the journaling bull by the
horns and experience all its benefits.

Blek Game
Being asked to describe Blek my brother rattled
off: It's an open-ended experience with singular
game mechanics and deep, bauhaus-informed
design. Huh! Just imagine working with a guy who
can say something like that about a game. Yes, it
can be complicated. But Blek isn't.
