Membership Update: Zeta had a very exciting spring term! We initiated three wonderful new members and hosted a bunch of bonding activities! The term began with four rush events including making dog toys for PAWS, decorating cupcakes, making busy books and having a canned food drive for PEC. During these few weeks, we were lucky enough to find three girls who rushed GSS and became our newest pledge class, Eta! They brought the chapter together to do service that benefited our Healthy Living project IMPACT area. In addition to celebrating the addition our newest pledges, we had a term full of fun and bonding! We had a day to make letters and bows, endless after chapter nights where we grabbed family dinners, many birthday celebrations and even a citywide scavenger hunt! After 3 hours and miles of walking, our President led her team to victory! Spring term was full of sisterhood and bonding for Zeta, and we cant wait until fall term to do it all again! SFE and Wee-oop!

Zeta members at Alexs Lemonade Stand Fundraiser
Service Scoop Zeta held a fundraiser with one of our wonderful service partners, Alexs Lemonade Stand Foundation on May 9 th . It was complete with lemonade, lemon jello, ice-cold water, and a Polaroid camera to capture all the fun. Not to mention the ladies of Zeta were a little too entertained by the bubble wand they used to draw in the crowd! Zetas First annual lemonade stand for ALSF was a big success, raising about $140. Props to our Zeta member Danielle for working hard to put this sweet fundraising event together. Zeta looks forward to next years Alexs Lemonade Stand! Zeta Chapter Newsletter
SPEC Committee Meeting in NJ
Join a National Committee!!
This year our member, Alex, had the pleasure to serve on a national committee. SPEC (Strategic Planning and Evaluation Committee) serves as an advisory committee to the NBD, evaluates the effectiveness of the organizational and administrative structure of the sorority and proposes revision of policy or bylaws as appropriate. Heres what she had to say about it! Being a part of a committee as a collegiate member is such a wonderful experience. You get to interact with other collegiates, alumni and members of the National Board of Directors. Having a say in the future of Gamma Sig on a national level is very humbling. Personally, I feel as though participating on the national level brings me closer to gamma sig. I gained some wonderful ideas for service events to bring back to the chapter. I got to hear the good (and sometimes not so good) things that happen to chapters all over the US. Hearing the positives and negatives of chapter activities makes me want to mold my chapter into something more than what we do at college. I hope some of the ideas I have will be welcomed and I can get more of zeta to be involved nationally.
