The Jamii point to point (JTL P-P) via the optical fiber metro link, is a converged service offering in the Jamii
Enterprise suite of solutions, which provides high-speed bandwidth, high availability and protected connectivity
within a metropolitan area over optical fiber, a near loss-less media Jamii Telecommunications has deployed to link
our customers to other customer communication PoPs, and to the rest of the world. This cost-effective offering
enables support of on-demand, real-time and high bandwidth applications.

Designed for business and corporate networks, Jamii Point-Point Link utilizes the wide coverage of optical fiber
cable in the metropolitan city / towns / residential areas, and at the end user, Ethernet or TDM E1 network
interface. This not only reduces cost, but also enables scalability, and flexibility to deliver higher bandwidths
without investing in new equipment and resources.

Jamii Point-Point Link is offered as a point-to-point and/or point-to-multipoint, fully converged solution, offering
connectivity between customer sites within the same metropolitan area as well as access to Jamii Telkoms
bouquet of IP-based services.


Product Specifications


Jamii P-P Link creates Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVC), connecting two or more via point-point or point-to-
multipoint circuits and is provided on an IP-enabled platform. The service is well suited to hub-and-spoke type
communications, where branch data traffic has to flow from the head office to a regional control or data recovery
centre, and vice-versa.
