Vision is a picture of the future cast in the present, an image or description of the Southwestern Delta
Episcopal District as it aspires to become in the future. The vision answers the following question, If we could
have the Episcopal District of our dreams and the impact we most desire what would our Episcopal District loo!

Instructions for Group Sessions
.oth the leadership groups and the ministr( groups will be vital to the success of this vision casting
endeavor. Therefore the following instructions will serve as a guide for group leaders and participants.
The following should be done at least a wee! before the Session-
5rgani6e the group and clarif( the duties of each of the following-
o 7onvener- 5rgani6es the group and presides over the session
o 8ecorder- 8ecords the deliberations of the group and provides the record to the Dean
o 8eporter- 8eports the highlights of the group to the 9lenar( Session
o Time :eeper- :eeps the group aware of time constraints so it can complete the tas!s assigned
;a!e sure that all group members have the ground rules and the agenda for the group session
The following ground rules should be observed-
5btain the permission of the convener before spea!ing- this wa( ever(one can be heard in time
E<press points of view clearl(, but succinctl(- tal!ing too long or too often is discourteous to others.
E<press opinions in a respectful manner- if there are disagreements, do not argue or enter into debate.
Do not ridicule or ma!e fun of an(one- ever(one+s opinion is to be respected and valued.
:eep in mind that there are man( segments in the group session- do not get bogged down on one or two.
7ome to the session with a pra(erful and cooperative attitude and a willingness to participate.
The following agenda should be followed-
5pening pra(er for discernment and wisdom
Introduction of group members /brief)
Identification of !e( participants /convener, recorder, reporter, and time !eeper) =brief>
7larification of the tas! before the group /brief)
8eview of the ground rules /brief)
Visioning- addressing the questions before us
7losing pra(er for improvements and innovations
