Bob Rovner
President 1964-1965
 
Bob Rovner graduated from Temple and continued his education at Temple Law School. He was elected Student Body President
for Temple Law in 1967-1968. He began his career by serving as an Assistant District Attorney under Alan Specter. Rovner was
then elected the youngest State Senator in Pennsylvania’s history in 1970. He sponsored the Lottery Bill which became law in
Pennsylvania. This bill allowed all lottery profits to benefit senior citizens. Rovner has become a prominent community and
business leader.  He was appointed as a Temple Trustee in the 90s, 2005, and 2009. He is on the board of the Zionist
Organization of America. Rovner has been recognized for many different accomplishments. To name a few, he was awarded
“Outstanding Service to Community” in 1972, “Man of the Year” in 1999, “Spirit of Jerusalem Medallion” in 2005, and “Spirit of
Life” in 2007. Rovner is a senior partner at the law firm of Rovner, Allen, Rovner Zimmerman & Nash. He specializes in a general
practice of civil litigations, criminal defense, domestic relations, social security disability, and worker’s compensation.  Also,
Rovner is a radio personality in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. He hosts two shows, “Senator Bob Rovner Talks to the
Stars”, on Friday from 1 to 2 pm, and on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm he co-hosts a talk show with Frank Rizzo. His guests consist of
prominent authors, politicians (local and national), and people from the entertainment and sports fields.
