Brenton Samuel Pink My name is Brenton Samuel Pink . My age is 73 I have eight children, the majority left home. And I live in this house 30 years
now. I'm in this country here for 40 years, its the best place I live from I have been born oh yes is the best. I have a dream that I'm going to get this
house and when I get it I most keep the orginal Kollu(ph) then I adhere my own.
A Portrait of Mr. Pink
Brenton Samuel Pink will be gathered to glory in the morning of joy. In the morning of joy.
Brenton Samuel Pink It was very beautiful in the 70s but, I've met a lot of disturbance is here by the motor vehicles sound and the earth shake a lot they
heard rocking and it does does that's why the damage of the house here it was far. The rocking of the earth.
[sil.]

The happiest time should be for anybody at all when they are working, happiest time by that you spend the most of your valuable time doing
something. Definitely the painting, is definitely, on my one personal behalf and I would not offer it to nobody.

Brenton Samuel Pink When I have to go back in six saint, the face was a bit uglier and I pit it up, chisel it down and pit it up as it is there now. Oh look
like Jesus I do it a really patronized Jesus.
[sil.]
Brenton Samuel Pink I do believe I play a great part in, in England here, yes I think so. I create a, a part of Jamaica here. Some like this house and
some may not like it I don't know but I know a lot of people like it and I like it myself. I like beauty and I like prettiness. When I just by it, it, well it was not
beautiful but since I take it over and add myself towards it, I developed up to my to heaven likeness. When I came to England I was 30, thirty one and a
half, I going of thirty two and that was 1957, 11th of July . In Jamaica we learned that England is our mother country and that's why we, we once in a
while I come here, I don't come here and crunch in hurting myself. I put myself to work as which I was doing in Jamaica . I love plants, and since I used to
call the wait inJamaica and I quietly cannot get the plant what I used to do here, coffee and chocolate, so these flowers it only remind me of a plantation
in that we do in Jamaica . Myself, the house hear, my voice and everything is like a a rainbow.
Brenton Samuel Pink The Others stood lonely when I'm there (inaudible ). But my Lord is ever standing by my side.
Brenton Samuel Pink I dream, saw myself singing and playing music as well. It is indeed my interpretation that all those things are good, good, good
look, singing and playing music is good look. Dancing is good but it all depends on who you dance with. If, if you find yourself dancing with
strangers somebody going to be betrayed.
Brenton Samuel Pink share my heavy load. I feel he presence me early everyday. And I go, sowhat take me along my streaming road.
Brenton Samuel Pink Before I have go to school, I I used to sing and then after I left school then carried in a big way. I invited all over the
country even in England here as well. I start my evacuate from in the 60s and the last one I do think is in the 80s , 84 if I'm not mistaken.
all the way.
Brenton Samuel Pink I always wear a hat, it let me feel good and feel lovely. I mostly wear thesewhen I'm entertaining myself. I was coming from down
the road there and the breeze blow it off my head in the road and a car come and run over it and smashed of the, the decoration that was on it. So I take
the remainder whole and we decorated it as it is now. The crown here on my head since it patronized Jesus I I actually love it the most. When I first
entered in this house this is the room, I valued this room for a thousand pounds and nobody else could not live in this room but be alone. Now it's about
fifty thousand. About fifty thousand now. Yes, it's an excellent room.
[sil.]
Brenton Samuel Pink I did have a blanket here and I copied the, the style and so I put down the the style here and one here and I do here, and I do
here and I do here, and do here. And then I got it between here and up there same where I spot them and I I I've done a little bit of extra for myself as
well you know own likeness but then all these here these some what less is actually my own likeness. All here has become like some of these glass
window that actually churches them you know and I copied them and just designed the room here in the square episode(ph) opposition. Some has done
in cement and some is plastered. I put the plaster down and it take many time, when it half dried then I smooth it down you know smooth it down. I put
only a trowel, that's a bit on my trowel, my hand could not do it. It'll take me a good while to to done but I will I will done.
[sil.]
Brenton Samuel Pink When I finished this room I feel very amazing very fantastic.
And you are happy?
Brenton Samuel Pink Oh everlastingly very happy. Still happy.
Brenton Samuel Pink Artist?. Oh no, oh no I let artist about delicate with active person. No no I'm not. It's all (inaudible ) from the beginning the
builder they they are the great achievers, they are the they are the the artist. I'm only a follower. I'm only a follower. My addition make a lot of
differences, it's only bright, bighting it out. I worked for the bar council twenty three and half years. And when I I retire in 1988 the 28th of August 1988 ,
yes that's it. I was very upset I was terrible upset.
[sil.]
Brenton Samuel Pink Oh it was a fantastic job I did love it very much indeed. I do a few collectingsometime I do the MOH sometime I do sweeping. We
work on our own. No no, foreman, not behind us instructing us. They give us the order and do, we just know what to do. We go and do it and after we
finish we go home. Very nice job. If I was younger, I'll go back there right now, right now. When I'm not painting, I water my flowers, clean out the place
and eat and drink and mere myself and relax. I went back to Jamaica 1978 , the holiday was quite alright, fantastic but when I come back at (inaudible )
they will hold me up there for several hours. It made me feel very sick, very dirty, very nasty, very ugly not a pretty happy person at the time I told very
dirty. I don't go abroad again and it's not my intention to to do no traveling. I invited to America several times, but I I decided not to go. I prefer to stay
in England now. If you're over forty in Jamaica there there they don't recognize you. Those are the main thing why we would not live in Jamaica , they
they they in this union, everything change you has to be young. Yes you has to be under forty.
Brenton Samuel Pink When I come to the region, I'm (inaudible ), When the last we will walk down, have gone.
Brenton Samuel Pink The only thing I would like to change, if I could come back young. If I could come back young again, that, that's the only thing I
would change in my life. Yes there is nothing sweeter than when you are young. Everyday I sit down in side here that while I'm studying from the, when I
was young until today oh yeah because I, in jail my you you you got it safe when you are young, yes. Yes, when you are young. The best time of our
life is when you are young.
Brenton Samuel Pink He'll be waiting for me. I won't have to cross the road alone.
Brenton Samuel Pink I have a majestic place, a majestic one. My portion is very wonderful to me, I praise it, I praise it yes. Yes.
Brenton Samuel Pink I won't have to cross it down alone. Jesus died for my sins to a tone, When the darkness I see, He'll be waiting for me. I won't
have to cross it down alone. Alone
