GREGORIO, MARIE CHERIE ANNE PASCUA, MELANIE CHRISTINE S. 2012 ABSTRACT The study entitled Personality Factors and Anxiety Level of Policemen in Lipa City, Batangas dealt with looking into any significant relationships among the profile, personality factors and anxiety level of the respondents. It intended to contribute to the policemen, officers-in-charge and government of Lipa by giving a more detailed understanding of the psychological status of the policemen of Lipa City. Simple random sampling and Descriptive correlational design was used in gathering and analyzing the respondents of the study. The 16 Personality Factors Test of Raymond Cattell and Burns Anxiety Scale of David Burn was utilized in assessing the personality factors and anxiety level of the respondents, respectively. These research instruments were supported by the Factor Analysis Theory of Cattell and General Theory of Anxiety of Barlow. After correlating the respondents profile, personality factors and level of anxiety, the study established inverse relationship among personality factors: M (Abstractedness) and personal profile Age. Gender had a significant relationship to some personality factors I (Sensitivity) and M (abstractedness). Civil status also had a significant relationship to factor B (Reasoning). Meanwhile, no significant relationship was found between the profile of the respondents and level of anxiety. Significant relationship was also found between personality factors: O (Apprehension) and H (Social Boldness) to Anxiety Level.
