With the skill level you will have attained by completing all of the exercises up
to and through section 5 of the PDS Equipment Modeling Users Guide, you
can complete Lab 1. Lab 1 takes approximately 2 hours.
With the skill level you will have attained by completing all of the exercises up
to and through section 8 of the PDS Equipment Modeling Users Guide, you
can complete Lab 2. Lab 2 takes approximately 2 hours.

7.1 Lab 1
1. Enter the equipment model assigned to this lab.
2. Using primitive components and the commands learned in todays
lectures, create the equipment shown in the pages that follow. A starting
point is provided for each equipment item.
3. Unless otherwise specified, assume all end preparations to be RFFE
(raised-face flanged-end).

7.1.1 Horizontal Vessel 38V-101
1. Use primitive shapes to create equipment item 38V-101.
2. Use the STRAIGHT NOZZLE option from the component placement form
to attach the required nozzles.

Note: For the nozzle length, dimension A on the nozzle form, 10 to 1
usually works. Any length is acceptable for the purposes of this lab as
long as the nozzle appears connected to the equipment.

1. Select the Straight Nozzle option from the ADD form.
2. Enter the nozzle data into the form including the given coordinates.
3. Orient the Primary East.
4. In the MicroStation Command Window, key in: 15 and accept the form.
