Your new Pyle Chopper Series amplifier comes complete with all required mounting hardware. When determining a s uitable location in your vehicle for the amp, pleas e remember
that it is a high- power electronic device capable of generating high heat.
For this reas on, a lwa ys c hoos e a loc a t ion in your ve hic le whic h ha s low vibra t ion, a de qua t e ve nt ila t ion, a minimum of dus t , a nd no mois t ure . Be s ure to mount
the amp in s uch a manner as to allow reas onable airflow over the cooling fins .
Ma rk t he loc a t ion for t he mount ing s c re w hole s by pos itioning the amp where you wis h to ins tall it and us e a s cribe (or one of the mounting s crews ) ins erted in each of the
mounting holes to mark the mounting s urface. If the mounting s urface is carpeted, meas ure the hole centers and mark with a felt tip pen.
Be fore a t t e mpt ing t o drill t he mount ing hole s , t a ke not e of a ny wire s , line s or ot he r de vic e s in your ve hic le whic h ma y be loc a t e d be hind t he mount ing
s urfa c e ! Then drill pilot holes in the mounting s urface for the mounting s crews and ins ert them. Tighten the s crews s ecurely.

Us e at leas t 8 gauge wire for power and ground connections .
Wire the amplifier directly to the car battery.
For the ground connection, us e the s hortes t pos s ible wire to a good chas s is ground point.
Wire the Remote connection to the auto s tart lead of your head unit, equalizer or power antenna.

Pyle Chopper Series amplifiers feature built- in fus e s ys tems . Thes e fus es protect both the
amplifier and the electrical s ys tem in your vehicle from fault conditions . If you ever need to
replace the fus e in your Pyle Chopper Series amp, us e a fus e of exactly the s ame type and
rating. A different type or rating of fus e may res ult in damage or fire.

The built- in protection circuitry in the Pyle Chopper
Series amplifiers will dis able the amplifier if it s ens es
an input overload, a s peaker s hort circuit, or extreme
temperature conditions .
When the protection circuit is activated by any of
thes e conditions , the Protection LED will be
illuminated.
If this occurs , carefully ins pect the s ys tem to
determine the s ource of the problem.
If the s hutdown was a res ult of a thermal overload
condition, allow the amplifier to cool down before
attempting to res tart it.
If the s hutdown was a res ult of an input overload,
or s peaker s hort circuit, be s ure to correct the
condition before res tarting.
The amplifier can be res tarted by turning the remote
power OFF and then ON again.

Confirm that all terminal s trip connections are s ecure and tight.
Check both in- line and built- in fus es . Both the +12V and the Remote terminals mus t have +12v referenced to chas s is
ground.
Confirm that the audio s ignal s ource (car radio, equalizer, etc.) is connected and is s upplying output s ignal. To
check if the amp is s upplying s ignal, unplug the cables from the s ignal s ource (but leave them plugged into the
amp). Briefly tap the center pin of each of the dis connected RCA plugs with your finger. This s hould produce a nois e
(feedback) in your s peakers .
Only one c ha nne l works .
Confirm that all terminal s trip connections are s ecure and tight.
Check the Balance control on the head unit (or other s ource) to verify that it is s et to its midpoint.
If you are us ing the Low Level RCA input, revers e the input plugs at the amplifier (i.e., s witch the L with the R). If
the channels which is s ilent s witches to the other s ide, the problem is either in the head unit/ other s ource or the
connecting cables .

If the nois e is a whine whos e pitch follows the engine s peed, confirm that the amplifier and any other s ignal
s ources (head unit, etc.) are properly grounded.
If the nois e is a clicking or popping nois e whos e rate follows the engine s peed, this us ually means that the
vehicle is equipped with res is tor s park plugs and wires , or that the ignition is in need of s ervice.
Check the rounting of the s peaker and input wires to make s ure they are not adjacent to wires which interconnect
lights and other acces s ories .
If the above s teps fail to improve or clear nois e interference, the s ys tem s hould be checked by a profes s ional mobile
audio ins taller.

the automobile to prevent damage, es pecially in an
accident.
Do not mount this amplifier s o that the wire
connections are unprotected, or in a pinched
condition, or likely to be damaged by nearby objects .
Before making or breaking power connections in
your s ys tem, dis connect the vehicle battery. Confirm
that your head unit or other equipment is turned off
while connecting the input jacks and s peaker
terminals .
If you need to replace the power fus e, do s o only
with a fuse identical to that supplied with the amplifier.
