Good day MaScians! These are the mechanics for the SciCapellaMo: 1) Each section must have one representative to portray the scientist of their section. The participant and the scientist must be of the same gender. 2) Each section will be given three (3) minutes to perform including the parade of the scientist. 5 points will be deducted each succeeding minute. If the sections performance reaches 5 minutes, it will be automatically cut. 3) Buying of costumes and props is not encouraged. 4) Each section must also create a product out of recycled materials that can be used in the school and promotes innovation. There will be an auction for the products made. 5) The product will be used and displayed in the exhibit for the Science Fair.
Mechanics for Bidding:
i. Every section is required to make at least one (1) useful product out of recycled materials to be put up for bidding. Maximum number of product is five (5) of the same kind. ii. Bidding of the products will start at Php 10.00. iii. Students are not allowed to purchase their own product. Among all the products made, only one product must be modelled by the section's representative during the opening of the Science Month. iv. Every P10 worth of products sold is equivalent to 1 point. The earned points will be added to their scores in the scientist in motion or SciCapellaMo.
6) The speech of the representative will be in the form of a song. 5 to 10 students may join each sections presentation, excluding the representative. The presentation must be in a capella.(all sounds must be made with body parts only) 7) This is the criteria for judging: i. Scientist-like 20 points ii. Scientist-posture/Projection 15 points iii. Scientist-enthusiasm 10 points 50 points + points from bidding 8) Failure to comply with any of the given guidelines will automatically result to disqualification. Prepared by: Noted by:
