SAILING EXPERIENCE
UK Sailing Academy Yachtmaster Training Sept – Nov 2009
Training scheme for Yachtmaster, to incorporate a diverse range of maritime, sea and
shore based qualifications. Development and practical use of navigation, maintenance,
sea safety and social skills, demonstrated in a number of vessels including Southerly 32,
Sweden 38 & 42, catamaran, to a Challenger 67 yacht. Passage planning and skippering
around the Solent, south coast, northern coast of France and the English Channel,
accumulating an overall distance of 2800 miles.
