SCENE 1

INT. TAYLOR'S ROOM- MORNING

It is around 9:00 and TAYLOR is getting ready for school.
He goes downstairs and has breakfast and says bye to his
MUM.
TAYLOR
(moody)
I'm off now.
MUM
What time do you finish, love?
TAYLOR
Er.. dunno. I might wait for
Grace to finish school and she
might come back for dinner is
that ok?
MUM
Ok, See you later.
He is walking to school, where he meets GRACE.
GRACE
Morning! Your early for once.
TAYLOR
(sarcastically)
Ha Ha.
GRACE
(Rolls eyes)
Did you end up finishing your
history esssay?
TAYLOR
Oh shit! I completely forgot!
GRACE
I literally told you to do it
when I left yours last night.
TAYLOR
Yeah, I know Grace! I fell asleep
early.
GRACE
What... at 8?
TAYLOR
Yeah... and...
GRACE
Well you can do it in one of your
frees today then.
TAYLOR
I do have common sense Grace.
Grace decides to not say anything this time. They walk
the rest of the way in silence. Taylor holds Graces hand
because he knows he was out of order. She looks up and he
is smiling shyly. Once they get to school, Taylor kisses
her on the cheek and walks to his lesson.
SCENE 2
Grace receives a text from Taylor later on in the day
saying
TAYLOR
Do you still wanna come mine?
GRACE
I don't mind.
TAYLOR
Are you still annoyed at me about this morning?
GRACE
Well...
TAYLOR
I'm sorry.
GRACE
Ok.
TAYLOR
I'll meet you outside after you've finished your last
lesson.
Grace decides not to answer back.
SCENE 3
INT. TAYLOR'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON/EVENING
Grace and Taylor are watching a film in the living room,
meanwhile Taylor's mum, KAREN, comes home from work.
KAREN
Oh, hey Grace! How are you?
GRACE
I'm fine thank you, how are you
doing?
KAREN
I'm alright, are you staying for
dinner?
TAYLOR
I already told you she is staying
for dinner mum?!
Grace looks shocked with how Taylor snapped at his mum.
KAREN
Ok, no need to be stressy about
it.
Karen leaves the room to start dinner.
GRACE
That was a bit rude Tay.
TAYLOR
Whatever.
GRACE
What is your issue!
Taylor rolls his eyes.
KAREN
Taylor can you run round the shop
for me and get some gravy please?
TAYLOR
Fine.
Grace follows Taylor in to the kitchen to get the money
but decides to stay inside. Taylor leaves.
KAREN
How have you been? How's school?
GRACE
Yeah, everything's going well.
But I'm a bit worried about
Taylor, have you noticed anything
strange about his behaviour.
KAREN
Oh... umm...
GRACE
Like the way he just spoke to
you?
KAREN
It might just be a phase he's
going through.
GRACE
No. This has been happening for
quite a while now
KAREN
er... um... If I tell you
something, do you promise that
you won't say anything to Taylor?
GRACE
(apprenhensive)
Ok. I promise
KAREN
Well... You know Taylor's dad
died...
Grace nods awkwardly.
KAREN
Well... he actually had some
mental problems himself. Which
led him to commit suicide.
Grace shocked face.
KAREN
In the post- mortum, it turned
out that he had schizophrenia.
GRACE
Are you think Taylor might have
it, don't you?
Karen nods. Taylor arrives back into the house.
KAREN
(whispers)
Don't say a word
Taylor walks into the kitchen and kisses his mum and
Grace on the cheek.
TAYLOR
I got the gravy and I even got
you both your favorite chocolate
for pudding.
Grace looks at Karen confused.
KAREN
Aww thanks Tay, you're so sweet.
GRACE
Thank you...
SCENE 4
Grace and Taylor are in his room relaxing after dinner.
GRACE
Did you get that history essay
done in your free period?
TAYLOR
Yeah, it turned out well good
actually.
Taylor kisses Grace on the cheek.
GRACE
Tay can I talk to you about
something please.
TAYLOR
Course you can.
GRACE
I'm worried about you. You keep
acting strangely. One minute your
happy then you get extremely
annoyed at tiny things and its
not like you.
TAYLOR
Oh... I haven't noticed. I'm
sorry if I have upset you.
GRACE
I think you should try and talk
to someone or look it up?
TAYLOR
Umm, ok I will have a look
online.
GRACE
Ok, I will leave you too it then.
I will call you later.
TAYLOR
Ok, bye.
Grace leaves.
SCENE 5
Grace and Taylor are on the phone together, Taylor in his
room and Grace in hers. Taylor is on his laptop, just
having a look at schizophrenia.
GRACE
Did you find anything?
TAYLOR
Yeah, it suggested I go to the
doctors so I have booked an
appointment for tomorrow after
school.
GRACE
Oh that's good! I'm really happy
you're doing something about it,
thank you for listening to me.
Did you want me to come with you?
TAYLOR
No! Umm... I'd rather just go
alone.
GRACE
(Taken back)
Oh ok. Well let me know how it
goes.
TAYLOR
Yeah I will, see you tomorrow.
GRACE
Ok bye love you.
TAYLOR
(rapid speech)
Ok bye.
SCENE 6
Grace and Taylor are walking home with some of their
friends.
GRACE
So what happened at the doctors
yesterday?
TAYLOR
Shut up grace!
GRACE
Oh ok, I'm sorry I didn't think.
TAYLOR
Well just stop talking then.
SCENE 7
Grace and Taylor are on the phone again.
TAYLOR
I'm sorry I snapped at you today.
GRACE
It's fine, I shouldn't have said
anything in front of the other
lot. But what actually happened
yesterday?
TAYLOR
I'm getting medication.
GRACE
Oh that was quick, what
medication is it?
TAYLOR
I don't want to talk about it
Grace. I'm tired, I'm going to
bed now.
GRACE
Wait, are we still going to
Brighton tomorrow?
TAYLOR
Yeah, meet me at mine at 9. I'm
going to bed now, bye.
GRACE
Ok night.
SCENE 8
Grace is walking to Taylor's house. She is calling him to
make sure he is awake, but gets not answer so leaves a
voicemail.
GRACE
Ok Taylor I rang you at 8.30 and
you didn't answer. It's 9 now,
I'm nearly at yours, you better
be awake when I get there.
Grace approaches Taylor's house and see's the front door
open.
GRACE
(Mutters)
Oh shit.
Grace slowly approaches the door and calls out for
Taylor.
GRACE
TAYLOR! You there?
Grace suddenly gets dragged into the cupboard.
GRACE
(muffled scream)
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
TAYLOR
Shhh. There's someone in the
house.
GRACE
(looking puzzled)
What?
TAYLOR
Can't you hear them?
The scene changes from colour to black and white to
indicate we have changed POV.
Through Taylor's POV we hear a noise from upstairs.
We then go back to colour.
GRACE
No...?
TAYLOR
Did you hear the smash?
GRACE
(Realises that Taylor is'nt
well.)
Ok, theres no one here Taylor.
TAYLOR
(Looks around manically)
Grace there is!
GRACE
Ok... I will go upstairs and look
around and get the phone to ring
the police.
Grace leaves the cupboard and begins to go upstairs.
TAYLOR
(looks scared and
apprehensive to go upstairs
but doesn't want Grace to
go alone.)
Wait grace I'm coming.
Grace is already upstairs when Taylor goes to get a
weapon.
The screen goes black and white again (Taylors POV).
We hear another noise. Then Taylor goes up the stairs.
He looks to the bathroom and see's the light on so
assumes Grace is in there. He goes in to the living room
and sees someone standing by his TV. He then attacks
them.
TAYLOR
Grace! It's ok, I have him! You
can come out the toilet.
There is no reply so Taylor goes to get her from the
toilet but there is no one there. He begins to search for
Grace throughout the house but cant find her and becomes
extremly confused. He then goes to get the phone and
moves in to the living room.
He looks towards the body and sees long red hair.
TAYLOR
(puzzuled)
Grace?
