The holder of the UN Conference on Climate Change logo COP20|CMP10 rights, here in after COP20|CMP10 logo, is the Ministry of the Environment of Peru, pursuant to applicable copyright and intellectual property regulations. Thus, it is the only competent entity to approve any authorization to use the abovementioned logo.
Article 2. - Objective of the COP20|CMP10 logo The COP20|CMP10 logo shall be only used aiming at promoting and disseminating the Conference in Peru and abroad.
Article 3. - Types of use The COP20|CMP10 logo may be used as follows: I. Use for Sponsors: institutional, products, events and publications related to COP20|CMP10 and complementary visual items. II. Use for events and publications related to COP20|CMP10 and complementary visual items.
Article 4. - Application procedure The Procedure for using the COP20|CMP10 logo is as follows: I. Procedure for Sponsors: contact by e-mail to logocop20@minam.gob.pe for futher information on the Sponsor Plan. II. Procedure to use it on events and publications is as follows: 1. The applicant shall send an Official Letter/Letter directed to Vanessa Morales, Responsible for COP20|CMP10 Communications and Knowledge Management. a. The Official Letter shall indicate: i. Corporate Name or Name of the Entity. ii. Contact Person: name, position, e-mail and phone number. iii. Reasons why it wants to use the logo. iv. Items in which they want to use the logo (web, social networks, posters, banners, invitations, merchandising handed for free, etc.). b. The Official Letter/Letter shall be signed by a department responsible: Chief, Coordinator, Manager, etc. c. The Official Letter/Letter shall be physically sent to the Reception Desk of the Ministry of Environment, located in Jv. Prado Oeste 1440, San Isidro Lima or by an e-mail to logocop20@minam.gob.pe
2. The COP20|CMP10 Communication and Knowledge Management Department shall answer the application to the contact e-mail no later than 05 calendar days after having received it, through an Official Letter/Letter signed by Vanessa Morales, Responsible for the COP20|CMP10 Communications and Knowledge Management Component.
a. If the application is admitted, a link will be attached in order to download the Manual to use the logo, as well as the logo on .pdf and .ai files. i. The applicant shall send the items in which the COP20|CMP10 will be included to the e-mail logocop20@minam.gob.pe ii. The COP20|CMP10 Communication and Knowledge Management department shall approve the use of the logo in such items or it shall make the corresponding corrections through the same e-mail. b. If the application is not admitted, the reasons for rejection will be specified in Official Letter/Letter.
Article 5. - Authorization The authorization shall be granted through an Official Letter of the COP20|CMP10 Communications and Knowledge Management Department, which is the competent area of the Ministry of the Environment, for free, in a non-exclusive and non-transferable way, in accordance with the requested terms of use pursuant to the objective established in Article 2. The Ministry of the Environment holds the right to revoke the license to use at any moment, by sending a simple communication to the contact e-mail, if the conditions of the authorization and/or those established herein are not met. Authorization to use the COP20|CMP10 logo in the authorized entitys different materials shall not mean that MINAM, the UN or any other organizer entity is directly responsible for developing and/or manufacturing such materials and /or events under the authorization scope; and thus the authorized entity shall be directly responsible of having any permits, rights, and others, as it may be needed for such materials.
Article 6. - Commitments of the authorized entity 1. Meeting the COP20 |CMP10 logo Terms of Use. 2. Meeting the graphical guidelines pursuant the COP20|CMP10 logo Usage Manual. 3. Making available the material and/or product design to which the COP20|CMP10 logo will be applied to the Ministry of the Environment, and/or any information that it may request regarding logo application.
Article 7. - Final Provision The Ministry of the Environment is entitled to amend the conditions herein, as it may consider it convenient. Amendments shall enter into force from the moment they are published in the website www.cop20.pe, unless otherwise provided.
