BCR Multinational Company
BCR ( Banca Comercial Romn),a member of Erste Group, is the most important financial
group in Romania, including operations of universal bank (retail, corporate & investment
banking, treasury and capital markets), as well as specialized companies on the leasing
market, assets management, private pensions, housing banks and banking services through
mobile phone. BCR is:
No. 1 bank in Romania on the assets value (over EUR 16 billion) ;
No. 1 bank by number of clients ;
No. 1 bank by savings and financing segments ;
No. 1 bank on the cards market and transactions ;
BCR is the most valuable financial brand in Romania, according to the clients degree of
confidence and to the number of those for which BCR is the main institution with whom they
are banking.
In addition to that ,it offers a complete range of products and financial services through a
network of 48 business centers for companies and 643 retail units located in major cities
across the country with over 10.000 inhabitants.BCR clients having available the biggest
national network of ATMs over 2.400 ATMs and POSs over 15.000 card payment
terminals to merchants, as well as full service internet banking, phone-banking and ecommerce.
History
1990 Banca Comerciala Romana is established by taking over the commercial operations of
the National Bank of Romania .
1994 - BCR becomes the first acquirer in Romania and main member of EUROPAY
1995 - BCR issues the first debit cards in Romania under an international logo.
Over time, BCR has brought several innovations on the Romanian banking market, such as:
2004 - BCR is the first bank in Romania to install Currency Exchange Machines (CEM)
2005 - BCR enables the use of CHIP cards (smart-card) in its ATM and POS network
2006 Banca Comercial Romn launches for the first time, through the BCR University,
the internship program STUDENT BCR allowing students to take internships in seven
BCR branches in Bucharest.
BCR is part of the BCR Group that also includes : BCR Banca pentru Locuine, BCR Pensii,
Societate de Administrare a Fondurilor de Pensii Private S.A. and BCR Leasing .

Strategy
The BCR strategy takes into consideration the current economic environment and the
potential trends of the Romanian finance-banking market and decides that BCR must
distinguish itself in a competitive environment by embracing an approach focused on the
clients needs.
The companys plan for future is to improve and develop new programs to make peoples life
easier and contribute to Romanias economy and industry .
Albalact family owned company
Albalact is the largest dairy company in Romania with majority Romanian ownership and the
third biggest player on the local dairy market. It was created by the brothers Raul and Petru

Ciurtin .Company has a tradition of more than 38 years in the dairy business and today it
produces dairy products of the finest quality in one of Central and Eastern Europes largest
and most modern greenfield investments - the Oiejdea factory in the Alba district. The
company also produces a diverse cheese range in the Raraul factory in Campulung
Moldovenesc, which Albalact acquired in 2008. The Raraul company also has a long tradition
in the white cheese and yellow cheese production.
Albalact brings today on the Romanian market over 80 dairy varieties under its four brand
names - Fulga, Zuzu, De Albalact and Raraul. Albalact has a rich dairy products portfolio,
from fresh pasteurised and UHT milk, to plain yogurt, fruit yogurt, sour cream, butter, sana,
sour milk, kefir, flavoured milk for children, white cheese, fresh cow milk cheese, traditional
kneaded cheese, yellow cheese, processed cheese.

and Bucovina.

Raraul : stands for being natural, health, and beauty and addresses consumers who love
hiking, the mountains, the flowers and everything that makes them feel alive.
De Albalact : encloses, even in the name it bears, the companys tradition in milk processing
and certifies the natural origin of its raw materials, thus guaranteeing the quality and natural
origins of its products.
History
In 1999, after reaching the edge of bankruptcy, without investments and technology, the stateowned factory was privatised and became a stock company with entirely private capital. The
Ciurtin family from Alba Iulia bought the majority share stock. In 2005 the management of
the company decided it was time for more important changes. At the time, Albalact
underwent a complex rebranding process. The years 2007 and 2008 meant for Albalact major
investments and a consolidation of the position as a modern Romanian company with
European vision. Albalact opened the gates of the new factory in Oiejdea in the Alba district one of Central and Eastern Europes largest and most modern greenfield investments.
Albalacts MISSION is to offer what is best from milk - fresh and healthy products, produced
according to European quality standards. The Albalact objective is to consolidate its position
on the local market, to expand and responsibly develop new fresh and tasty dairy products.
Bitdefender limited liability company
Bitdefender is an antivirus software suite developed by Romania-based software company
Softwin wich was created by Florin Talpes. Is in its 16th build version. The 2013 version was

launched in June 2012, and it includes several protection and performance enhancements such
as Search Advisor and Performance Optimizer. The 2013 version was launched in 25 June
2012.
The Bitdefender products feature antivirus and antispyware, personal firewall, privacy
control, user control and backup for corporate and home users. PC Tune-up and Performance
Optimizer are available in the Total Security Suite.
Bitdefender Products : The Bitdefender range includes antivirus products for home users
and businesses. Home editions support Microsoft Windows, Symbian OS, Windows Mobile ,
Mac OS X , Android and Ios ; business editions support Microsoft Windows, Linux,
FreeBSD, Solaris and Mac OS X. The current version of the Home/Home Office security
suite includes antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall, e-mail spam filtering, backup, tune-up and
parental control components. A free basic online scan is offered via the Bitdefender website.
The Free version however does require free registration and is valid for 1 year after
registration.
Bitdefender is designed to protect computers from viruses and spyware. Unlike the
commercial version, the free tools only offer an on-demand virus scanning and doesn't
provide real time scanning, and may therefore be less suitable for machines with a continuous
connection to the internet.
Bitdefenders Technologies
Bitdefender Antispam NeuNet : short for Neural Network is an antispam filter pre-trained by
the Bitdefender Antispam Lab on a series of spam messages, so that it learns to recognize new
spam by perceiving its similarities with the messages it has already examined.
B-HAVE : In May 2006 Bitdefender introduced a new technology, B-HAVE (now patented),
to reduce dependency on virus signatures through proactive detection of unknown threats.
This technology is based on behavioral analysis in a virtualized environment.To determine
whether a program is malicious or not, this technology makes use of a virtual PC in which
files are executed and analyzed. B-HAVE checks for characteristics known to be associated
with malware. A program may be deemed to be malicious if it attempts to modify certain
files, read from or write to a sensitive area of the memory or create a file that is a product of a
known virus. If no malicious actions are detected, B-HAVE starts the program normally; if a
suspect conduct is present, B-HAVE automatically quarantines or deletes the application.
Active Virus Control: Incorporated in the 2010 product suites, Bitdefender introduced
another technology, Active Virus Control, in August 2009.
It continuously monitors each program (specific processes) running on the PC, as it executes,
and it notes any malware-like actions. Each of these actions is scored and when a given
threshold is reached, the process is reported as harmful. Because of this approach, Active
Virus Control is considered a third layer of defense.

Strategy
Their plan for the future is to improve their programs and make new ones , so they will help
people who work with computers to not have threats that may affect their tasks.
