EX. MAJOR CRIMES UNIT, STANLEY CENTRAL - DAY

Chief of police Taylor STANDS before the public with a swarm
of reporters surrounding the podium.
TAYLOR
(braces hands on podium)
Citizens of Stanley, at 11:32 PM yesterday evening officers
received a number of distressing calls about screaming in
Mowlam Drive, Stanley. Upon arrival we discovered the bodies
of Audrey Simpson and Lucy Iley. This is a repeat occurrence
of the murder that happened the previous week to Pamela
Richards. We suspect that all three murders are in fact
connected. Rumours of sightings of a supposed clown wielding
what could possibly be the murder weapon have circulated
throughout out our community. Citizens we advise you to set up
precautions such as CCTV and come forward if you have any
further information. Thank you.
(Taylor gives a slight NOD and steps away from the
podium)
INT. KITCHEN, COUPLES HOUSE DAY
STEPH
(Steph SITS on couch with Andrew watching the police
statement)
(In a state of shock)

I use to go to school with Pam and

Lucy.

ANDREW

(Pulls Steph into a HUG)

STEPH
(With a look of realization)
What if something happens to me?
ANDREW
(He pulls away from her and HOLDS her shoulders)
I promise nothing is going to happen to you. Nothing.
(Playfully shakes arm then couple start laughing)
INT. INSIDE THE COUPLES HOME, AYTON, WASHINGTON.
The couple are inside their home putting up CCTV cameras.
ANDREW (V.O)
Now were safe.
INT. INSIDE THE COUPLES' HOME, IN THE SITTING ROOM
Steph sits on the sofa HOLDING a hand held video recorder.
STEPH
Smiiiiiile
ANDREW
(stands in the doorway)
(Laughs and pushes away camera)
Steph and Andrew are laughing with the hand held camera
capturing it all. A RED balloon appears behind the couch. The
lights SUDDENLY turn off.
Ill go check the fuse box

P.O.V STEPH Steph is carrying the hand held camera as she

walks through the household.
STEPH
Andrew?
(pauses waiting for a response.)
Andrew?
(Steph enters the kitchen seeing blood upon the floor. she
becomes panicked from the lack of response from Andrew and
shouts.)
ANDREW!
(the clown stands behind Steph, letting out a dark creepy
LAUGH. Steph SLOWLY turns around coming face to face with the
clown.)
(flashes of fight scene and Steph escaping the clowns grasp.
the clown GRABS Stephs ankle and she kicks out, then makes
RUNS for the door.)
EXT. WOODS
(Steph RUNS through the woods in a panic trying to escape the
clown. then she FALLS during her escape.)
(the clowns face appears, VERY close to the camera.)
