Objectives:
Within 8 hours of clinical exposure as a student head nurse at Tagum Doctors
Hospital (Station-3A/3B), I will be able to:
1. Participate the endorsement done by the previous shift;
2. Participate nursing rounds together with the nurses on duty;
3. Motivate the nursing staff to provide quality nursing care;
4. Able to direct and supervise nursing staff in provision of nursing care and ensure
the availability of support services which facilitate this care;
5. Develop a skill in decision making that would enhance patients condition;
6. Supervises and coordinates all patient care on the unit, including communication
with physician or other health care team;
7. Able to deliver a holistic care that is therapeutically affective and safe as well as
cost-effective;
8. Able to confronts and resolves conflicts involving staff, physician, patients, and
personnel;
9. Schedules daily activities of the unit, including assignment planning, scheduled
meal and break time, and conferences;
10. Conduct endorsement to the next shift for the continuity of care.
