NCM 111- Nursing Research

Course Description:
• The course intends to equip the nursing students with
the concepts and principles in nursing research. The
course provides the nursing student the opportunity
to formulate research problems, write literature
reviews, design the methodologies, identify
appropriate tools to gather and analyze data. The
course will commence with a presentation of a
research proposal.
Course Outcomes:
• At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the methods of inquiry and how these methods are used
to interpret knowledge in their own field.
2. Critically review literatures to generate innovative research problems
3. Participate in preparing a research proposal complying with the ethical principles
4. Formulate a research proposal relevant to the profession and national development
5. Demonstrate ethical standards in the conduct of research
6. Present a research proposal to a group
