while power test evaluates their innate abilities.

III. Expound each item thoroughly

1. Traditional Assessment
- Conventional evaluations consist of "tests" that are typically true/false, matching, or
multiple choice and are completed using paper and pencil. These tests are simple to
grade, but they only check knowledge of facts, information that has been memorized, or
isolated applications.

2. Alternative Assessment
- Alternative exams often ask students to evaluate their overall education in order to
identify the knowledge and abilities they will need to apply in order to address a
particular challenge. Complex and complicated tasks from the actual world are a part of
these exams.

3. Performance-based Assessment
- Performance-based assessments incorporate the problem-solving process and are an
alternative to conventional testing procedures. In order to pass these tests, students
must produce something or respond to a question that demonstrates their knowledge
and abilities.

4. Portfolio Assessment
- Portfolio assessments are collections of student work rather than a specific kind of
assessment item. In order to pass a portfolio assessment, students or teachers must
compile examples of their work that demonstrate improvement over time.

IV. Enumerate five of the eight guidelines for effective student assessment.
- Give students the opportunity to practice the skills they need for each assessment.
- Provide sufficient and detailed feedback.
- Provide spaced assessed tasks to enable students to allocate sufficient time to study over a
suitable time period
- Focus your feedback on student performance, learning, or actions the student can control.
- Align feedback with the learning goals of the assignment and the assessment criteria.
