6. Unfinished Business:
(1) Feasibility Study by Genivar for the Receiving Tank at the Bio-digester
- Ross Slaughter reviewed changes requested at the last meeting and also
reviewed a few new items under the financial analysis. Discussion was had by
Committee regarding turning waste heat into energy which could
compliment our operations if we were running under optimal conditions and
will keep this as a third option.
- Will Moore stated that Bob Chiarelli, Minister of Transportation and Minister of
Infrastructure, has declined a meeting with Committee at the OGRA
conference.
(2) Hydro 3 Phase power
- Ross Slaughter stated that Genivar has started the FIT application made a
request to Ontario Hydro on January 26, 2012. At this date they have yet to
hear back from them. Ross Slaughter stated that they cannot complete
calculations required on the FIT application until they hear back from Hydro.
Direction from Committee for Ross Slaughter and Genivar to submit draft
report to Ontario Hydro and once a response has been received to submit
the FIT application.
(3) CH 4 update on getting Bio-digester back on stream / product analysis
- Discussion by Committee on the communications between CH4, Troy Unruh
and Ross Slaughter. All aspects of performance of the bio-digester are
moving forward.

Troy Unruh stated that he has spoken to Fluker Mechanical and they are still l
waiting on parts.
(5) Insurance

CAO of Chatsworth, Will Moore stated that they have looked into the matter
and Mayor Barfoot will make sure that it has been followed through with the
Clerk of Georgian Bluffs.
7. New Business:
(1) Bio-digester operations to date
-
Public Works Operator, Troy Unruh stated that the digester has come down to
28.7 and may take a few weeks with enough products to get up to the
recommended 30.
Discussion by Committee on two quotes received by Operations Manager
Hartley for an auxiliary heating unit.

Seconded by: Deputy Mayor Burley
That the Steering Committee directs Operations Manager Hartley to accept
the quote dated February 8th from Maurice mechanical in the amount of
$14,950.00 +HST for set up and placement of auxiliary heating unit.

(2) Storage

Public Works Operator, Troy Unruh, stated that currently the tanks are full and
we cannot receive any more product until heat levels rise.
Discussion was had by Committee regarding an additional tank for septage.
A review will be done to see if there are grants available. The suggestion was
that the tank will be in ground, therefore will not require any heat as a mixer
will keep waste oscillating.
