Technical Management

Institute at Purdue University

October 7 - 10, 2014 West Lafayette, Indiana - USA
Do you work in a technical field?
Do you manage technical employees?
If yes, then the Technical Management Institute at Purdue University
can provide the additional skills you need to be a more effective
project team manager and supervisor of people in technical roles.
TMI has been offered collaboratively by the College of Engineering
and Krannert School of Management at Purdue for over 25 years.

A continuing education program for new and aspiring managers

Learners are introduced to many applicable tools and techniques that
they can apply immediately when they return to the job. The instructors
bring a wealth of experience in their fields and as instructors in the
classroom.
The Institute attracts learners from a variety of professions, so the
networking and idea sharing become as valuable as the in-classroom
learning. The focus of the program is to:
help the manager understand the management of
business costs, the product development cycle, and
the dynamics of cross-functional project management
help the manager translate business objectives for the
technical workforce and establish a bottom-line emphasis
provide current perspectives on leadership and project
management in the technical arena
