MATHEMATICS MONTH CELEBRATION
THEME: Moving Forward Through Excellence in Mathematics
ACTIVITY:

SEARCH FOR MR. AND MS. MATHEMATICS 2015

MECHANICS:
1. The search is NOT the usual type of beauty and brain contest.
It is patterned to money contest where the candidates will
collect/gather bottles, papers and the like which can be sold in
the junk shop. The Mathematics Department is the one incharge in the selling of the bottles/papers in the junkshop.
2. The candidates for the search who will have the highest
amount of collection after the three canvassings will be
declared as Mr. and Ms. Mathematics 2015. Other candidates
will get minor awards/titles.
3. The search is open to all year levels wherein each sections
from the different levels must have a pair of representative
for the pre-canvassing/elimination which will be done on
November 18, 2014 (Friday).
4. The candidates who will garnered the highest amount of
collection after selling their bottles and papers will represent
the year level they belong for the final round.There will be a
separate tally sheet for Mister and Miss.Therefore, a candidate
for Mister may come from a certain section and a candidate
for Miss may also come from another section or from both
from one section if and only if the pair gets the highest
amount separately.Thus, their classmates, and co-year level
may choose to whom they would like to support or help.
5. The first canvassing will be held on November 28, 2014
( Friday ) at 4:00 5:00 PM, while the second canvassing is set
on December 15, 2014 (Monday ) at 4:00 5:00 PM and the
last canvassing is scheduled on January 22, 2015
( Thursday ).
6. A recovery room ( if will approve by the principal ), will be
given to the 8 candidates and their supporters for the safety
keeping of their bottles and papers. Each of them will have a
specific area where they can keep their collection. There will
be a scheduled time for placing their bottles and papers in the
assigned recovery room.

7. The candidates will have a certain percentage on the
accumulated amount they get after the last canvassing, in
which, the winners with their respective titles will be declared.
