Absolutepovertyisthoughtofverysimilarlythroughouttheworld,especiallyinthecaseof
extremepoverty.TheWorldBanksetsthethresholdforextremepovertyatlivingonlessthan

$1.25perday,which,asof2011,included17%oftheworld.

believethatextremepovertycanbeeliminatedwithinthenextcoupledecadeswiththehelpof
