Thrusts:
1. Community-Minded Growth
I believe that Ateneans should not only grow in a well-rounded and balanced manner between academics
and extra-curricular activities, but also in a community-minded manner. Meaning, everything that we do
here in Ateneo will be for a greater purpose, which is to support not only the direct recipients of the
projects, but also the greater community that we are part of. To promote this, the various projects that
would be implemented would all be planned with this mind set in place.
2. Academic Proficiency
Because there are plenty of subjects in different fields of study for the SOM Sophomores, there might be
some students who might not be able to keep up with the volume of work. This year, their academic
needs will be addressed through various tutorial projects and the release of reviewers.
Projects:
1. International Term Assistance Program
To address the SOM student bodys concern for the various international study opportunities such as the
JTA, the Summer Term Abroad, and the Business Study Tour, this project aims to inform and guide the
students through the application process. It will include infographics and seminars regarding the program
with different students who have gone through the program as speakers.
2. Minoring Bootcamp
Since the Junior Year for SOM students is also considered to be the year that students choose their
minor, the goal of this project is to give students knowledge regarding minors they can choose as a SOM
student. This boot camp will have mock classes from the different minors available to them. This will give
the students a more realistic experience to the different minors before they even have to choose their
direction.
Internal Initiatives:
1. Open Project Initiative
In order to raise awareness and involvement for 2 SOM Sanggunian concerns, projects initiated by the 2
SOM School Board are open to application for all Sophomore SOM Students. Through their participation,
the Sanggunian will be able to tap into a larger talent base and the student body will have increased
concern and awareness for the Sanggunian projects.
2. United and Responsive 2 SOM School Board
With a more united school board, we will be able to reduce internal conflict. With less internal conflict,
more problems can be addressed to and more projects can be implemented. This way, the 2 SOM School
Board will be able to be more efficient in terms of its presence towards its constituents. This will be done
through individual and group consultations and various meetings throughout the school year.
