: Yes mum! We are coming now. (all of them running to their mum and
sitting in front of their mom)
Mother

Mother
: Oh! Thats easy. You can easily recognize him by his rough voice and
his black feet. (acting out how the rough sound and show what the
paw is to her children)
Lamb 2
: Mum, we promise we will be very careful not to let the old wolf in.
Lamb3
: Don`t worry about us. We will be safe. You should take care of
yourself, too.
Lamb 4
: We love you mum. Come back quick, please (with pampered voice
and kisses
her mothers hand lovingly)
Mother
: I will, children. (she kisses the 3rdand 4thlambs, then gets up from the
chair and walks towards the door.)
: Goodbye, children. I love you.
(Lamb 1, 2, 3 and 4 follow and send their mother to the door and say goodbye)
Narrator:
So, the old sheep went on her way into the dark woods. She had not been gone
long when there came a loud knock at the door.
Wolf
:(knocking the door gently and pretending to act like the mother
sheep)
Open the door, my dear children. I have something for each of you.
Lamb 3
: Yes! Its the rough sounds like what mum told us just now.
Lamb 2
: Remember what our mum says to us. Dont open the door! (in a firm
tone)
: We will not open the door. Our mothers voice is soft and gentle.

SCENE 2 (At the Shop)
Narrator:
The old wolf ran away to a shop, where he ate a piece of white chalk to make his
voice soft.

Shopkeeper : Good morning Mr. Wolf. How can I help you?
Wolf
: Mr. Shopkeeper, give me all your chalks in your shop. I want to eat all
of them!
Shopkeeper : (looking surprisingly at the wolf he says) You want all the chalks?
Okay, Ill get

Wolf
(The wolf takes the box of chalk and sits on the floor while saying
something to himself)
: I must eat all these chalks. I wonder how my voice would be when I
talk to the stupid sheep later. (he laughs loudly and happily while
eating the chalks )
Narrator:
After eating some chalks, the wolf then went back to the sheeps house and
knocked at the door.
Wolf
: (pretending to be like mother sheep) Open the door for me, my dear
children. Your dear little mother is back, and has brought every one of
you something from the woods.
so that we
can see it.
Lamb 2
: (with firm and angry voice too) Yes! Put your paw now. We want to
see it.
Wolf
Narrator:
The wolf places his paw on the window bay and the three kids look at it suspiciously.

They take three steps back and hold their hands together frighten
When the wolf had done this, all the little sheep said.
Lamb1
: (shouts angrily) No! You are not our mother. We will not open
the door.
Lamb 2
Lamb 3
again.
Narrator:
The wolf stepped away from the house angrily. He needs to find other ways to trick
the clever lambs. Walking angrily to and fro he kept thinking until suddenly he got a
very brilliant idea.
Wolf
up now.

SCENE 3 (At the Bakers Place)
Narrator:
The wolf arrived at the bakers place and he was pretending like he had an injured
paw. He greeted him fiercely and said.

Wolf
: Mr. Baker, put some flour on my paw, I have sprained my foot. Rub
some
dough on it for me.
Narrator:
The baker was so afraid of the wolf that he did not want to do as he was told. The
baker says to himself.
Baker
must I help
him? Why must I help him?
Wolf
: (The wolf goes closer to the baker and places his paw on the table)
Baker
Wolf
: (with angry tone) What are you wondering about. Quick sprinkle some
white flour on my paw for me. Or I will eat you up now!
Baker
: (with scared voice) Yes, yesI will do it now as you requested, sir.
Narrator:
The wolf smiles broadly as he saw how scared was the baker of him. He then paid
him and the wolf went for a third time to the lambs house.

SCENE 4 ( At The Lambs House Near The Window)
Narrator:
When the wicked wolf stood in front of the sheeps door, he knocked again and
again on the door and says.
Wolf
(All the four lambs know the wolfs voice and stay together behind the window to
see the wolfs paw)
Lamb 1
Lamb 2
: Yes, now!
Wolf
: Okay dear, please come to the window now. I want to proof to you
that I am really your mother.
Narrator:
So the wolf put his white paw on the window. When the 4 th little lamb saw that it
was white, she thought that was really her mother and went to the door to open it.
Lamb 4
: Come in, mother. (she goes to the door and opens the door widely)
Wolf
: Ok darling, Im coming now. (The wolf takes off his blouse and smiles
happily at them when he enters the house)

Narrator:
The wolf laughed happily and ran to catch the lambs. The wolf found them all, and
with no delay he swallowed them down his throat, one after the other. However, he
did not find the youngest lamb, the one who was under the blanket.
After satisfying his appetite, he went outside and lay down under a tree in the green
meadow and soon fell asleep.

SCENE 5 (AtThe Lambs House)
Narrator:
Later that evening, the old mother sheep came home from the woods and saw the
tables and chairs were not in their place. Everything was scattered in that house.

Mother
children? Is
everyone here?
Narrator:

Hearing her mothers voice, the youngest lamb slowly opened the blanket while the
mother walked into the room.
Lamb4
Mother
Lamb 4
: Oh mum! Im glad you are here. The bad wolf has eaten my brothers
and sister.
Narrator:
Soon, the mother found out how the wolf had eaten her dear children.

SCENE 6 (At The Meadow)
Narrator:
Finally in her despair, she went outside and the youngest lamb ran with her. They
came to the meadow and there lied the wolf by the tree, snoring so loudly that the
branches shook.

Mother
(Mother sheep looked at the wolf from all sides and saw that something
was moving and jiggling inside his full belly. She says quietly to the
youngest lamb)
: Good gracious, it may be that my poor children are still alive. (looking
at the youngest kid beside her and holding her hands, she says)
: Now my dear, go back to our house and take a pair of scissors, a
needle and some thread. Go quickly now before the wolf wake up.
Lamb 4
:Okay mum. Ill go now to take those things. (stand up and quickly runs
away)
Narrator:
The little lamb ran quickly back home to take the things for her mother. After a

while, she came back with the things her mother needed and hand in the things to
the mother.
The mother sheep quickly cut a hole in the side of the wicked old wolf. Then one of
the lambs stuck out his head. Then, another one popped out, until all the three
jumped out on the grass.
Lamb1, 2, 3 : (said happily while jumping and hugging each other around their
mother)
: Mother! Mother! We are fine.
Mother
large stones
from the brook.
Lamb1, 2, 3 : Yes, mother. We will find them now.
Narrator:
The three little lambs ran off to the brook and soon came back with seven large
stones. They gave the stones one by one to their mother and quickl,y the mother
put those stones inside the wicked old wolf.
Mother
: (whispering tone) Thank you my dear. Now, Ill sew the wolf gently
and quietly
so he would not wake up. Now everybody, go and hide yourself among
the bushes over there while I finish up my work.
Narrator:
The mother hurriedly sewed him up again. The wolf was not aware of anything and
never once stirred. The wolf finally awoke and got up onto his legs. As the stones in
his stomach made him very thirsty, he wanted to go to a river and get a drink. But
when he began to walk and to move about, the stones in his stomach knocked
against each other and rattled. Then he cried out.
Wolf
: (singing sadly)
What rumbles and tumbles inside of me.
I thought it was kids, but its stones that they be.
Narrator:
When he got to the river and leaned over the water to drink, the heavy stones
pulled him in, and he drowned miserably. When the seven lambs saw what had
happened, they ran up and cried out.
Lamb 1,2,3,4
Narrator:
The little lambs together with their mother, singing and dancing for joy around
about the well.
