THROWING OF LINES AND PRONUNCIATION DRILL
HR PERSONNEL:
Mr. Miguel Sanchez... According to your Daily Time Record, you
have incurred a number of consecutive late time-ins.
EMPLOYEE:

I really apologize for not being able to come to the office at the
prescribed time its just that...

HR PERSONNEL:

I would really like to hear your reasons Mr. Sanchez but I think
you have already gone beyond the maximum number of
tardiness in a month.

EMPLOYEE:

I insist...you must hear my side first.

HR PERSONNEL:

I remember that theres a policy here in the company. All newly

hired employees must undergo an orientation, right?

EMPLOYEE:

Yeah, it was a whole day orientation.

4Communication.Co., Inc.

HR PERSONNEL:

Were you able to remember that part of the orientation that

says the allowable late time-ins must not go beyond three times
in a month and consecutive tardiness in a week is held as your
first offense and for the next two succeeding late time-ins will be
sanctioned accordingly whether the employee maybe filed with
an administrative case or he/she will choose to leave the
company without hard feelings.

EMPLOYEE:

I am aware that the company has strict policies when it comes

to attendance but its just so unfair... Im still adjusting to my
daily schedule. The company changes our shift from time to
time, my biological clock has been totally affected!

HR PERSONNEL:

Everyone complains about that Mr. Sanchez but look at them

they are still adhering to the time-in policies. Since you chose to
work in a foreign company which has foreign clients, you dont
have any choice at all but to adjust ASAP.

EMPLOYEE:
HR PERSONNEL:

EMPLOYEE:

Im really getting sick of this job.

You can actually make an appeal to the HR department and
prove that despite being late you were still able to perform
extremely well.
Alright then... I think..

HR PERSONNEL:

I think...based on this monthly productivity report handed in by

your direct supervisor, your performance flunked the expected
target productivity quota.

EMPLOYEE:

Well, it sounds that youre giving me no option at all.

HR PERSONNEL:

Sorry Mr. Sanchez, please dont take this personally but Im just
doing my job as an HR personnel. We need to constantly monitor
the performance of our employees to ensure that we are giving
our clients excellent services.

EMPLOYEE:

Dont worry I understand... Thank you for the experience. Ive

learned my lesson in a hard way.
