Tarkio Elementary students honored for accomplishments

The Tarkio Elementary

students have worked very
hard throughout the 2014-15
school year. They were honored for their accomplishments during an awards
assembly held Wednesday,
May 20, 2015, in the Tarkio
Elementary Library.
The students received
awards in math, spelling,
reading, music, art, and

P.E., as well as awards for

good attendance and special
awards that complimented
each student on a special
trait they have. Some students were honored for always helping out the teacher, others for always creating
laughter. One student was
recognized for always wishing his teacher a goodnight

before leaving school each

day. Other notable honorees
were recognized for competing in the Atchison County
Spelling Bee, competing and
placing in district and state
math contest, and reading
over 1 million words this
school year.
Pictured below is each
class that was honored at

the assembly.
