A. How to make
1. Get a cardboard/illustration board, fold it lengthwise then crosswise.
Cut size of it.
2. Fold the remaining parts. In front, paste the picture of a child in a
portrait position.
3. Inside the cardboard/illustration board, write the name of the child
and on the other side write any name.

B. How to use
1. Show to the class their pictures.
2. Call a child one at a time to get his/her own picture.
3. Let the pupil says, This is my picture.
4. Teach the child to unfold/ open. (by this time the name of the child
will appear)
5. Let the child familiarize his/her own name. For non-verbal, let the
child points to his own name.
6. Open the other folded paper (it comes out other name).
7. Ask the child if it is his/her name.
8. Tell the child to point his/her own name.
9. Praise the child for his effort.
VI. Variation
This material can also be used in identifying the gender of a child.

B. How to use

2. Hang it in a string using a clothes pin.
3. Let the child describe the picture while presenting fat and thin, etc.
4. Call a child and let him/her get the appropriate picture/s that
describe/s him/her.
5, Let the child describe himself /herself by saying____________.
6. If all are given the opportunity to describe him/herself, put the
duplicate pictures in a basin.
7. Call a child to get one picture from the basin and let him/her match
to the hang picture. Hang them on the string found below the first
string.
8. Praise the children for their effort.

VI. Variation
This material can also be used in recognizing colors, shapes, sizes and
numbers.

3. Call a child to choose a number and get it.
4. Ask the child to feel and guess what is inside.
5. Tell the child to untie the ribbon and let him/her identify the
object.
6. The child may also show how it is used.
7. Let other children do the same activity until all the objects have
been untied.
8. Praise the children for their effort.
VI. Variation
This material can also be used to identify things that can found at home,
in school and in the community.

Area of Development: Motor Skills
I. Objective: Performs the following locomotor activities with ease
after the teacher demonstrates:

V. Procedure
A. How to make

1. Trace the feet of one of your pupils in a cartolina (red color for left foot
and green color for right foot). Make at least 12 footprints.

2. Place the footprints on the floor. Arrange it alternately (red-green, red


green, etc.) Fix them by putting scotch tape on it.
3. Get the string and tie it at the chairs place at both ends. Make two
parallel lines of strings beside the footprints.
B. How to use
1. Show to the child how to do the activity.
Steps:
a. Go to the starting line.
b. Begin to walk forward. Now, use your left foot and step on the
red footprints, right foot step on the green footprints and so on...
c. When you reach the last footprints, step twice to your right and
begin to walk backward. Use the string as your guide until you reach
the finish line.
4. Let the child do the activity. Do it several times for mastery.
5. Praise the children for their effort.
VI. Variation
This could also be used in cognitive skills to develop their focus,
attention and balance.

I. Objective: Sorts objects according to colors:
red, blue, yellow and green
II. Description: The material is made up of cut-out flowers by which the children
can be able to sort according to colors.

A. How to make
1. Draw flowers on a size construction paper and cut.
2. Place it in a basket.

B. How to use
1. Using the tape, form a square on the floor in each sides using color red,
blue, yellow and green.
2. Place the basket with cut-out flowers in the center of the square.
3. Let the child identify the colors of the tape.
4. Instruct the children to get one flower inside the basket then say the
color and match the flower with the same color tape on the floor and
paste it.
5. Do it continuously until the entire square is filled with flowers then check
if the same color matches it.
6. Call one pupil to point the colors that were sorted.
7. Praise the child for his effort.
VI. Variation:
This could also be used in sorting objects according to shapes
and sizes.

A. How to make
1. Use cardboard in drawing a boy with a head, ears, eyes, nose,

3. Draw another set of body parts and cut them separately.
B. How to use
1. Present the picture of a boy.
2. Talk about the picture and ask:
Can you see the parts of the body? Let the child touch the body
parts like eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet, etc.

3. Call one child after another in identifying the body parts. Teacher
assists if needed.
4. Teacher shows what she's holding (left ear, right ear)
5. Let the child says left ear, right ear, so he/she holds his/her own
ears.
6. Ask one child to come in front and touch the left ear/right ear
and say left ear/ right ear.
7. Follow the same procedure for the other parts that are in pairs:
left/right ear

left/right leg
left/right feet
8. Instruct the child to put the left ear/ right ear in the right location.
9. Do this to other parts of the body.

5. Write 'ART FOLIO' on the cover of the magazine
B. How to use
1. Prepare the children in coloring activity.
2. Teacher holds the art folio and opens it on the first page.
3. Ask the children to look and listen to the teacher.
4. Get the crayon or any coloring materials to be used.
5. Teacher models the correct hand movement in coloring
6. Start to distribute the art folio to the children.
7. Call one child to color the picture number 1.
(observe his/her eye hand coordination while coloring)
8. Administer the activity in one on one procedure to get each child
performances.
9. Teacher may use the succeeding pages for coloring the pictures if
the child finished the first and had properly demonstrated eye-hand
coordination.

II. Description: This material shows different emotions. It is made up of paper
bag pasted with complete pictures of happy, afraid and angry faces.

V. Procedure:
A. How to make
1. Prepare an orange construction paper.
2. Trace the body parts like eyes, nose, ears and mouth.
3. Cut the body parts named in number 2.
4. Get three pieces of paper bags.
5. Paste the body parts on each paper bag showing the three emotions.
6. Hold them one after another to check and identify the differences of the
finished materials.

B. How to use
1. Show the puppet one a time and let the child identify the emotion.
2. Do this repeatedly for pupils maximum participation and mastery.

II. Description: It is made up of six folding cardboards that show pictures of
emotions like: smiling children, jumping boys, laughing audience, overjoyed
babies, and clapping kinder pupils.

V. Procedure:
A. How to make:
1. Get the six pieces of hard cardboard.
2. Draw or cut pictures that show different emotions.
3. Color and paste each picture on 5 separate cardboard.
4. Write the word HAPPY in big bold letters in one of the cardboard.
5. Join the six cardboard one after another with the use of masking tape or
glue.

6. Make an accordion book out of the six cardboard.

B. How to use
1. Recall the three facial expressions. Imitate the puppet showed as
happy, afraid and angry.
2. Show picture number one to the children. Have them identify the correct
emotion shown in the picture.
3. Do the same to the other pictures.
4. Praise the children for their responses shown.
VI. Variation:
Bodily Kinesthetic. Let the children do the activity like jumping, clapping,
jogging with counting while listening to the music.

5. Turn the picture at the back and paste sand paper 1x1 inch size at the
middle.

6. Write these boo! Boo! Boo! For Lito's group and next time we can make
it for Jose's group.
B. How to use
1. Prepare the children in listening activity, have them listened
attentively.
2. Actual Story telling
One Saturday morning 10 boys went on playing in the nearby
playground. They were very happy. Lito's group shouted to Jose's group
BOO! BOO!

child.
6. Place apple, champorado, sandwich, biscuits, boiled eggs, juice etc. on

a tray.

B. How to Use.
1. Show a big picture of classroom setting during recess time.
2. Ask the children, What do you see in the picture?
What time of the day is it?
Name the foods that you want to eat and what you don't want.
3. Prepare the classroom setting. It's Recess Time!
4. Arrange the tables and chairs properly.
5. Tell the children to place the needed materials on the table one after
another. Example: placemat, plate, glass, spoon and fork
6. Ask them: Are you ready for recess? It's eating time!
7. Teacher handled the tray and tell when your name is called, please
come in front and get the food you want.
8. Teacher observes the children's behavior while getting foods, if they say
please pwede po ba or excuse me
