Your skills:
The successful candidate will have experience of leading, supervising &
motivating a team within a manufacturing environment with knowledge of general
machine operation. A background in a quality controlled environment is also
preferable.
An understanding of liquid level gauges and associated products advantageous
The individual should have recognised codings in similar fields & materials.
Must be willing to work on their own initiative within a small, target lead
business operating within a ISO 9001 quality system.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE:

WELDING SUPERVISOR

REPORTING TO:

Operations Manager

BASED:

Swanley, Kent

JOB OVERVIEW:

To oversee the running of our production cell responsible for the fabrication of level
instrumentation. It will be a hands on role performing a variety of welding functions with the main
focus being on the TIG welding of stainless, carbon steel & exotic pipe & flanges (1/2 to 4 NB)
according to ASME IX which can be subjected to Radiograph of finished welds.

MAIN DUTIES:

Maintain quality, health and safety within the production cell.


Ensure high levels of fabrication and welding to appropriate ASME standards.
Review practices and develop ideas to reduce manufacturing lead times &
costs.
Be able to understand & input into the creation of existing & new weld
procedures & approvals.
Schedule production within the team to ensure on time delivery.
Provide guidance on material preparation including the cutting & machining of
raw materials.
Fabrication & Welding of product according to specification & drawing(s) to a
quality that ensures acceptance of radiographic weld examination & tolerances
of +/- 1.5mm.
