Read Hebrews 11:32 - God tells us now, after weeks and weeks of sharing
stories of faith, And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell
of ....... God tells us He has more, and more stories of faith. In fact the
stories of the ways that God has sought after, redeemed, and reconciled His
people are endless. Did you know that you are also one of those stories? For
many of us we at times need to be reminded that God has given you the
greatest story ever, how Jesus Christ met and saved you, to share. Meditate
on how you can share that with someone in the coming days, and weeks!
Each of the movements in Hebrews 11 is marked by the phrase by faith.
What we learn as we read each verse weekly, is that the people of God live
by faith at every turn. What we notice is the events dont always appear to
bless them, but they, by faith, serve as a blessing in Gods bigger plan.
Likewise, you are a blessing in His greater purposes.

Grab one of the nursery

prayer packets!
As I was sitting in my office on Wednesday, April 15th,
praying for the upcoming nursery project I closed my
eyes and saw young children being prayed over and the
bible being read to them. I heard the gospel being
shared, and at that moment I heard Acts 11:26, For a
whole year they met with the church and taught a great
many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first
called Christians.
My prayer out of that moment is that by seeking the Lord we would establish a Little Antioch, a
safe and inviting place where children can hear the gospel, and grow as disciples who know and
trust Jesus. I see Little Antioch as a special place that when they look back they will know that it
was there that they first heard the gospel, and because of that they are now called Christians.
Excited? I certainly am, but as with anything I have to make sure my excitement doesnt exceed
my obedience because none of this is possible without prayer.
Sure, we may be able to make some pretty good plans, but the problem in doing that is that it will
always lack Gods power. Jesus said apart from God we can do nothing (John 15:5). Gods word
tells us that man makes his plans, but that it is the Lord who orders his steps (Proverbs 16:9).
Therefore, we must pray first. Pray often and pray even when we feel secure in what we believe we
know. Prayer pulls us, the people of God, towards God. It causes us to lay before Him everything
that was His to begin with; every plan, every purpose, and in doing so - every praise. Prayer
delights Him and unites us. Please consider joining me in prayer for what will do for His glory and
the joy of the Gospel in this project!
This will help you to
have an idea on the
planned
construction that
will begin in early
August:

We will also be
re-carpeting the
Sanctuary and
looking at taking
care of some
other small
projects in the
church.

Many will remember last years water
project (partnering with Healing
Hands International, Rotary Clubs,
and Rotary International) to provide
clean water for 15,000 people in the
Tulia area near the original
congregation that Erastus Kavuti
started in the early 90s.
The project involved three deep wells
and now has seven kiosks where
people come for water. This week we

approved our grant proposal to drill
wells and set up kiosks for three more

Nzawa, Kithumula, and Masaani.
Caring for Kenya, Healing Hands
International, seven Rotary Districts,
and ten Rotary Clubs have all donated
toward this project.
The church members, the
communities, medical clinics, and
schools will all benefit from this
project. As we have said in the
past first the water, then the living
water. We are following Jesus
instructions in Matthew 25 by
providing water to the thirsty and the
gospel of Salvation in Christ Jesus!

After taking control of dams along

the Euphrates River, the Islamic
State (IS) is waging a water war
in Iraq. The terrorist group has
been cutting off water from
provinces, making the river run
dry.
According to Furat al-Timimi of Iraqs parliamentary Agriculture
and Water Committee, the Euphrates has dropped below 50
percent of its normal rate. The Islamic State has done a few things
like this. This, unfortunately, is not unique, says Emily Fuentes of
Open Doors.
Whenever the Islamic State is cutting off water or cutting off food
points for people to get access of food, water and other materials,
it affects not only the region, but all the surrounding regions as
well. Timimi reports the group has taken control of the Ramadi
dam affecting water sources that reach Babel, Karbala, Qadisiyah,
and Najaf. The province that will suffer the most from the lack of
water will likely be Anbar.
Even before the current crisis, overuse pollution and population
growth had stretched the resources of the Euphrates River, the
main source of water for 27 million people not just in Iraq, but in
Syria and Turkey, too, a Business Insider post said. Since the
riverbed started drying out, a sort of tug of war game has risen
among the three countries. Iraq and Syria have complained that
Turkey is reducing the water flow.
The lack of water is now creating a ripple effect on the land. Crops and animals arent getting enough
water and are slowly dying out, creating another problem: food shortages for already-suffering and starving
people.
The United Nations announced there are around 3 million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) within Iraq.
Many were forced to leave everything even their life savings behind as they fled the violence of IS.
Now many cant afford to pay for food. About 300,000 of the IDPs are Christians.
These Christians cant afford food. They dont have jobs that they can work at now that theyre refugees,
and cant provide for their families. Many of them are in desperate need of food in order to survive and
feed their families, Fuentes says.
