Hungary was founded more than a thousand years ago. The ancient tribes came somewhere
from the east. The Hungarians became Christians when our first king Saint Stephen was
crowned. The Pope sent a really nice crown to him and we still have this relic. Hungary was
always a great country but after the World Wars, our size was reduced. After the Russian army
left Hungary, we finally became free again in 1989.

scientist was Dnes Gbor who got the Nobel Prize in 1971 for inventing holography. In 2002
Imre Kertsz got the Nobel Prize in Literature for his book about the holocaust concentration
camps.

Finnish people. The Landtaking happened in the 9th century when the ancient tribes invaded the

Carpathian Basin. According to other theories we might have originated from Scythia and thats

In Hungary there are thermal baths too, which attract many tourists. These spas have medical
effects so certain people come here not only to see the sights but to heal as well.
