Studio Taf has been organizing and
conducting in the last 11 years courses
for professionals working both in the
social and health sectors. The courses
address specific issues related to
d i s a b i l i t y. A t e a m m a d e o f a
neurologist, a speech therapist, an
occupational therapist, a physical
therapist and a social worker is
currently developing a new program of
intervention in nursing homes hosting
frail elderly applicable in residential
care services (nursing homes, assisted
living centers, continuing care
retirement communities, adult care
centers and the like). The program
includes training of personnel on the
basis of theoretical lessons and at
alternative periods, job shadowing.
Studio Taf coordinates the projectʼs
activities.

Teatro dellʼOrtica has been established
since 1996 by a group of professional
educators with a strong experienced
gained in theatre workshops, training
and professional education. Teatro
dellʼOrtica carries out theatre
workshops involving disadvantaged
young people, old people living in
social centers and psychiatric persons.
Teatro dellʼOrtica carries out an intense
training activity addressed to:
pedagogical staff, social workers,
volunteers, educators, social workers
and in rehabilitation field, students and
citiziens. In ALTRA Teatro dellʼOrtica
organises practical workshops, to show
the practical aspects of the training it is
currently offering in the test beds in
Italy and it acts as a reference during
the whole project on themes related to
social theatre and its use in social,
rehabilitation and care settings.

Cité des métiers is a center for
information, counselling and guidance
in all matters related to the
improvement of professional life and
skills. Linked to CDM, has been
developed the Cité de la santé, a
health information resource centre. Its
access is free of charge and it
welcomes people of all ages and all
walks of life. The Cité de la santé has
the opportunity to spread at a wide
level the information and knowledge
gained by the LP. The projectʼs outputs
will be put at disposal of the citizens
visiting the Cité and adequately
publicised. Together, CDM and Cité de
la santé are in the best position to act
as a catalyst of attention on the project,
to discuss it with experts in the field
and representatives of training
institutions and to widely disseminate
its results at national (and
international) level.

KAI has 12 yearsʼ experience in
European Lifelong Learning projects
and its current expertise lies in the
transparency of VET qualifications and
the Recognition of Prior Learning in the
framework of the European
Qualification Framework [EQF] and the
European Guidelines on the Validation
of Non-formal and Informal Learning.
KAIʼs role in the project will be to
analyse the appropriateness of the
Italian approach to the Learning and
Assessment of caregivers based on an
analysis of professional caregivers of
the frail elderly. This analysis will be
based on European policies, as they
relate to the English national context.
