PROJECT 1 : RUBBER MODIFIED BITUMEN OR MODIFIED BITUMEN

Rubber from discarded tyres has been used in various highway

applications for over 50 years. Generally, the tyre rubber is
ground to a particulate or crumb prior to adding it to bitumen.
This form of the tyre rubber is called Crumb Rubber Modifier.
When CRM is added to bitumen, the resulting product is called
Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB). In the United States
CRMB is simply called Asphalt-Rubber (AR).

PROJECT 2 : ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESMENT OF

ROAD (PMGSY)
SCOPE:
Collection & review of available secondary literature/data/information on
physical, biological & social environment in the area of influence (study
corridor).
Field study, survey and monitoring in the study alignment for generation of
some necessary primary data.
Establishment of baseline environmental status/condition of the study corridor
Study of the project activities in terms of construction and operation to identify
the potential sources/causes of impacts
Identification & assessment of potential impacts on the environment during
construction and operation of the project road
Recommendation of preventive, mitigatory, compensatory & enhancement
measures to eliminate/minimize the adverse impacts

Formulation of an effective Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to ensure

the implementation of mitigation measures for environmental sustainability
Detail design & working drawings of pedestrian underpasses and plantation;
Environmental enhancement measures for cultural properties, water bodies
and landscape, and borrow areas on public land;
Preparation of EIA report conforming to the guidelines of Govt. of India, World
Bank/ADB as appropriate
Preparation of EMP report including monitoring plans during construction &
operation, environmental mitigation & enhancement measures etc.

PROJECT :3 FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE

Fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) is concrete containing fibrous material w

increases its structural integrity. It contains short discrete fibres that are un
distributed and randomly oriented. Fibers include steel fibers, glass fibres,

and natural fiberss each of which lend varying properties to the concrete

In addition, the character of fiber-reinforced concrete changes with varying

, fiber materials, geometries, distribution, orientation, and densities.
