ADIOS AMIGOS

20th July, 2009.The clouds didnt shadow his indomitable spirits, nor did the
rain dampen his ardor, but anyone in college uniforms did. They were the seniors,
beware of them, not just on the ides, but every time, from the very next moment
you claim to be an engineering student. At least, he knew this, thanks to the media
and the silver screen which made him better off than many. But none ever told him
that things are different in MBCET. No one tells you how sweet honey is but lets you
to taste it yourselves, may be, everyone wanted him to taste the difference himself.
Things werent different the next day. He entered the campus in stealth mode
(prevention is better than cure), only to realize that he cant find the lecture hall
in which he spent a full afternoon the previous day. Not the first time for him, has
happened many times during his school days, he goes to school after 10 days of
vacation and realizes that.. but today Trouble seems to have organized a party in
him, here comes the uniforms with guys within.
He: (Soliloquy) So, this is it. The game begins!
Seniors: Why are you standing here?
He: Chetta, I cant find my class!
Seniors: Hm! Come with us.
And guess what, they led him to a class.
He: (Soliloquy) Heavens may or may not be in Earth but Hell is definitely in
Earth.. Sometimes even in a classroom!
Seniors: This is S12 EC. Will deal with you later.
So thats it, though they left him now, they will get him later. But they never did.
When he tasted the honey, it was like the milk of paradise, which only the
gods are entitled to drink. A boy from Earth fed on the food of Gods, not just that,
he saw Gods because he believes that one can see incarnations of God in purest
forms of love. He saw God, in the eyes of his seniors; he saw the delicate angelic
bliss on their faces. And now, when they leave college, he wonders what can ever
replace them, what can even fill the vacuum. The very thought of departing his
seniors burns his heart. He wishes to have them with him no matter what it may
cost him. But he knows that the play must go on, when an actor leaves the stage
after enacting his role, the actor mustnt be made to remain in that stage, the actor
must leave and the only think others can do is to appreciate the great performance
of the actor, wish him good luck in the next stage and bid him farewell.
Dear seniors, I just wish to tell you how much you mean to me, how much I love
you and how much I will miss you. You werent just my seniors; you were like my
own brothers and sisters. Thank you very much for the fragrance you have added to
my life and wishing you all the very best from the profound depths of my heart.
Adios amigos.
