proposals to move the museum from its cur-
rent home at Preston North End's stadium
to Manchester’s Urbis building.
The switch to the Urbis exhibition centre
–which could happen next year – is being
driven by Manchester City Council, with a
lack of funding likely to mean the present
Deepdale site will close to the public after
eight years.
