At the beginning of the class, the teachers present themselves and comment to the
students that they are students too, but teachers in the future.
The teachers put up on the board the topic to the class:
DESCRIBING PEOPLE

Warm-up activity
Teachers draw two circles on the whiteboard, and a mouth, a nose and ears on
each circles, so that they would seem as two heads. Then they ask the students what is
missing?. Students are supposed to answer eyes. After this, teachers ask again what
colour are they?, so as to finally draw the missing part of the head.

Activity 1
While Lautaro presents the poster on the board, Cristina will tell the students that
there are two friends, whose names are Paul and Lucy, and who don't know how to get
dressed. After that, the teacher will invite one child to the front of the class, so as to help
Paul and Lucy.
In order to help these friends to get dressed, students are supposed to ask what is
she/he wearing? or answer this question. Anyway, the teachers will be monitoring and
asking the students if they know the names of each clothes, colours, etc.

Activity 2
When the bodys are finally dressed the previous activity is finished, and teachers will give
each child a copy to stick in their notebook and complete the task included on it.

Who is he/she?

Another activity with these flashcards can be a Guess who? game. Before the
task, everyone should look carefully at the flashcards. Then, a teacher said: I'll tell you
about my friend. My friend has got short brown hair and little green eyes. Can you find
him?. Students should try and guess which picture the teacher is describing. Additional
clues -like clothes- can also be given. The student who guesses correctly can then have a
go describing some one.

Activity 4
