III. Tasks:
1. In a group of four members, search and review documents concerning the given/selected
topic in I.
4. Approach the interviewee and request their consent to participate in your study. This
should be done based on voluntary manner, and the interviewee’s identity must be
protected (i.e. No disclosure of information to the outsiders of this project and
pseudonym must be used).
5. All members of each FE401 research project team must listen to the interview and take
notes of the interview information. However, only one member might be assigned to ask
questions to the interviewee.
6. Prepare for a 15-minute presentation to a small group of peers, using the information
from the research study above. Prepare a five-minute quiz to check the audience
understanding of the content of their presentation. The presentation will be done
individually and will be evaluated by the audiences within each small group.
7. Write an academic essay of 2000 – 2500 words based on the literature review (the
review of the existing documents related to your topic) and the interview data.
Submit the essay as a group work two weeks after the presentation.
IV. Essay format
You may follow this essay format:
1. Introduction
2. Body
2.1. Literature review (select the main ideas/themes; do not repeat the same
ideas/themes)
2.2. Research Method: provide a brief description/explanation of the interview
purpose, interview process and the interviewee’s background
2.3. Results: present/discuss the results of the interview (i.e. organising the
ideas according to the themes)
2.4. Discussion: connect the interview data with the ideas/themes obtained
from literature review; discuss what you have learned or gained from this research
and how useful is the information generated from this research project.
