From this graph you can see that the majority of people you I questioned said they would like to
have information about trips (31%) in the college magazine. This tells me that its important for my
magazine to have this in order to appeal to the audience and provide useful information. A large
number of people also said they wanted information about student discounts (23%) and career
finding (15%); so Im going to make sure that they get this in my magazine. Very few people chose
term dates (7%) so I will most likely leave this out.

This graph shows that over half of the people surveyed would like gigs (70%) advertised in the
magazine, so Im going to have information about that on both the front cover and contents page.
This way it will appeal to the audience of college students and provide them with muse wanted
information. Also, 20% of students said that they would like places to get food advertised so Im
going to include this in my college magazine as well.

This pie chart represents what colour scheme people would like for a college magazine. Its clear
that the majority like bold colours (45%) with nearly half of the surveyed audience choosing this
options. This data will inform my magazine design in the sense that Ill choose bold colours to
appeal to students. Dark colours (22%) was also a fairly popular option although not a popular as
bold so Im going to choose bold colours.

I also questioned people on whether they would pay for a college magazine of not and nearly 3
quarters of them said no (67%). In order to appeal to my target audience of college students Im
going to make my college magazine free. Some people said that they would pay for it but no as
many as that said no, which informs me that my magazine would be more successful if it was free.

From this graph its clear that people would expect to see 3 images (37%) on the front cover of a
college magazine. But a quarter of the students also said they would expect 2 and 5 images. From
this data I know that designing my magazine with 3 images make it more appealing.

What type of magazine would you like to see?

This graph shows that nearly three quarters of the audience would like a combination of both an
academic and social magazine; so Im going to try my best to design it to fit this criteria. Although
a larger number of people chose social (22%) over academic (11%) so Im going to design it to be
slightly for social than academic to satisfy the audience.

This pie chart represents what people said their interests/hobbies were. Its clear that a lot of
people enjoy music (60%) so Im going to incorporate music into my magazine design. I may
choose to do this by including information on gigs as that was a popular choose for what students
would like advertised, or what new artists/albums are on the horizon.

In addition, I asked people how often they would have the college magazine published and nearly
half of them said that they would like it fortnightly (45%). This information informs me that my
magazine was brought out every two weeks my audience would increase and it would be more
successful.
