Do you think the cover lines are effective at attracting alternative punk music fans?
Yes I think they convey the alternative punk music genre well and would be/are very
effective at attracting fans of the genre.
Yes, they are effective and straight to the point. I especially like the strapline at the
bottom which shows what more you can get in the magazine.
I really like your cover lines and I hadnt thought of using the effect you have in my
own punk music magazine, however I feel you may be able to change the main cover
line in some way that allows it to be different, and more significant than the rest.

Does the composition of the front cover works well? E.g. position of images and cover lines
I think the positioning of the images and cover line are well positioned and have
clearly been well thought out and I think that the composition of the front cover
works very well.
I think you have a really good concept there! The only things I would change is some
of the text could be brought closer to each other. For example, the website line could
be higher up to the masthead, Alt Rock. And the huge line that says Fall Out Boy.
Also, (I really dont want to seem picky) the little image under The Wombats New
Songs could be positioned straight. In my opinion it looks a bit wobbly, like it
doesnt match.
It does, everything is tied together and no element looks like it shouldnt belong
there. The price, date & issue no could be different, maybe without the glow, or
smaller?

Do you think the choice of colours make the text easy to read and are conventional of the
genre?
Im not sure (due to a bit of a lack of knowledge of the genre) whether the text is
conventional to the genre however I think the glowing white on the black makes the
text really stand out and is easy to read.
Yes, I do like the black and white colours and suit well for it. However, one of the
puffs or the bottom plus straps colour could be changed because it makes the
whole cover a bit dull.

4. Do you think youd easily be able to read the masthead and cover lines from a distance?

Yes I can read the cover lines and masthead very clearly from a distance due to the
glow around them.
Yes, they are very easy to read. The white glow behind the black text works well as
they wouldnt appear good just plainly in front of the image.
The white glow behind the black masthead works well, however is too similar to the
cover lines in my opinion.
