Parameters For Dynamic Models of Power Plant Equipment
Parameters For Dynamic Models of Power Plant Equipment
Given below are parameters that were used for dynamic simulation on the WECC 9 Bus System
whose topology is shown in [1]. While generator, exciter and governor were modeled for
generators 1 and 2 (at buses 1 and 2 in [1]), only generator and exciter were modeled for
generator 3 (at bus 3 in [1]). The meaning of parameters can be found in GE-PSLF or PTI/PSSE
manuals.

Generator Parameters, assuming GENROU model, used for dynamic simulation of the IEEE 39
bus system are given below. Many of these parameters were obtained from [2]. Since [2]
assumes the two-axis model for generators, additional parameters had to be added to the
parameters in [2] so that the GENROU model could be used. The network topology and
parameters for the 39 Bus system can also be found in [2].
