F,G,H, and I. Well be spending a
week learning each letter using our
Alphatales and Sesame Street
themed books. Well also be practicing tracing uppercase and lowercase. Our numbers of the month
are 6,7,8,and 9. A week will also
be spent on each one using our
Numbertales books. Yale 2 has

Were looking forward to seeing

Yale Youngsters 2

Columbia Crawlers
We would like to welcome to Columbia Crawlers our new teacher, Ms. Vikki. Ms.
Vikki comes to us with 14 years experience in Early Childhood Education. She
makes learning fun! During the month of October, we will learn the color black
by creating spiders and webs. We will be reading the book The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle. Looking forward to our Halloween Celebration.

Brown Bears
Brown Bears are FALL-ing in love with learning! This month we are off see and
learn about the world and environment around us. Brown Bears will begin by exploring the community around them, cultures newer and abroad and then discuss
how we can get to those places. Well even take a closer look at geography and
explore different physical features using sensory activities. This month is even
more fun because Brown Bears have several birthdays coming up and of course a
Brown Bear costume party! Check your daily grams for updates from your teachers.

Cornell Cubs
During the month of October, our classroom will be learning about Community
Helpers and different professionals. We will also learn about world cultures, travel, and geography! Some of our art projects will be to color the United States,
locating our home state, New York! Our cubs will dress up in fun costumes and
be a community helper for the day. There are firemen outfits, policemen outfits,
and even a chefs apron. Dont forget the weather changes in October and Autumn arrives. The leaves begin changing colors and the weather becomes cooler.
Our classroom will experience all these changes first hand. We will look up close
at different colored leaves, such as red, orange, and yellow. Our cubs will go apple picking inside the classroom to see how many apples they can collect. Pumpkins will decorate the classroom as we wait for our favorite holiday, HALLOWEEN!

For the month of October, our

class will be learning about community helpers, traveling and
cultures along with geography.
Some of our projects will focus
on these topics as well as our
letters of the week., which for
October will be the letters C and
D. We will also be going over
the changes in the weather and
why the weather is getting cooler, why its darker earlier in the
day and what Autumn is. Lastly,
for the end of the month, we will
be having a HUGE Fall Celebration!

Dartmouth
In the month of October we will be
discussing different countries and
cultures around the world. We will
talk about all the different places we
have visited with our families. We
will talk about all different occupations in uniform and discuss what
they would like to be when they
grow up. For an art project I will
assign each child a countries flag to
make and we will discuss some
facts about the country and different
foods from that country.

Harvard PreK1
Well the air is getting
much cooler, the winds
are blowing and the
leaves are falling to the
ground. It is hard to
believe the children
have already been in
school for nearly a
month already. They
are making great strides
and seem to be settling
in very well. It has been
terrific working with
your children up to this
point and we are looking forward to what the
rest of the year will
bring. During the
month of October, our
theme for the month is
The Five Senses. Students will be working
on their letters, shapes
and numbers as well as
practicing their cutting
skills. To introduce science to our theme this
month children will be
experiencing leaf rubbing, the change of colors and a pumpkin
carving! You can also
expect to see many Fall
and Halloween art
crafts hanging in our
classroom. Make sure
to check them out!

Harvard PreK 2
Weve settled into our class, and made lots of friends! Moving forward, were
continuing the theme My Community and Me. In October, we will be studying The
Five Senses, How do our senses help us understand and explore the world
around us? Well look at each of the senses, and which body part it is connected
to. Well listen to two stories by Aliki, My Hands and My Five Senses. We will
take a listening walk to listen for different sounds in our environment. Finally,
with Halloween coming, well open up a pumpkin, and feel around the insides to
look for pumpkin seeds!

Princeton Preschool 1
In the month of October, we will be discussing about community helpers, world cultures, different countries, travel and geography. We will also talk about the weather changing. Why
is it getting colder outside? The seasons are changing.
Then at the end of October, we will be celebrating Halloween!
We can not wait to get dressed up!!!

Princeton Preschool 3
For the month of October, we will be traveling the globe learning about different countries and their cultures. We will also
learn about our community and all the different jobs that are
community . As we continue to work on our alphabets. For
October we will work on D,E and F. Most of our art projects
will be based off each week themes and letter of the week.
We end our October wit the celebration of Halloween.

Dartmouth
Dartmouth will surely be
blooming this May! We
will be focusing on spring
time and all the beautiful
changes that occur. First
we will learn how trees,
plants, and flowers grow.
We have an awesome
planting experiment prepared to help us visualize
plant growth. Next, well
discuss the water cycle.
Here we will learn about
condensation, evaporation and precipitation. We
will even learn how rainbows are formed! As May
comes to an end, well be
buzzing through to summer as bumble bees!
Watch out...we sting!
