Naming a Child
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Universally Merciful, the Singularly Compassionate
All-Praise to Allah, Lord of all domains. O Allah, whelm benedictions, peace and blessings upon our
liege Muhammad , his kin and folk, in the number that is in Your Knowledge, such that those
benedictions may continue forever eternal as Your Kingdom. To proceed:
Allah is the best guardian, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. (Al-Quran 12:64) Allah
encompasses them from behind. this is a Glorious Qur'an, [inscribed] in a Tablet Preserved. (Al-Quran
85:20-22) And We have guarded it from every outcast devil. (Al-Quran 15:17) Verily We created man
from a quintessence (of clay);then We placed him as sperm-drop in a place of rest, firmly fixed;then We made
the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that
lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah,
the best to create! (Al-Quran 12:64)
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah,
and I further testify that Muhammad is the Envoy of Allah. (3 times)
I name this boy Fuln, son of Abhi or I name this girl Fulna, daughter of Abh
(Replace Fuln/Fulna with the childs name and Abhi/Abh with the fathers name)
May Allah bless you with His gift to you, may you (the new parent) give thanks (for this gift),
may the child reach the maturity of years, and may you be granted its righteousness. (Al-Fatiha)

Supplication
O Allah, let this child be from the people of knowledge and goodness, and not from the people of
evil and wrongful actions. O Allah, enrich him/her with acumen of the Prophets, memory of the
Messengers, and intuition of the Angels of proximity. O Allah, grant him/her the understanding of
religion (3 times). O He who opens all! O He who knows all! Make receptive his/her heart to the
unveilings of the Gnostics, give him/her wellness and safety, make his/hers a goodly life in religion,
this world, and the next. O Allah, lengthen his/her years, rectify his/her physical being towards
your righteous obedience, expand his/her sustenance, beautify his/her character, make eloquent
his/her tongue, beautify his/her voice for the recitation of the holy Quran, the blessed Hadith, and
eulogies upon the Prophet . O Allah let this child be filial to his/her parents. And blessings be
upon our liege Muhammad, and upon his kin and folk. All-Praise to Allah, Lord of all domains.
