Activity Schedule

This schedule has been created to help parents find stimulating activities and or childcare provision for their children in the Crediton area over
the Easter period. Some of the activities are run by other organisations and should be booked directly through them (further information and
contact details at the end of the schedule). Only activities highlighted in aqua blue should be booked using the booking and consent
form attached (further details, booking and consent forms for these activities can found at the back of this booklet).

 Contact information for Activities
• Animation Workshops, Friday 9th April at Hayward’s Primary, Crediton. £10 for the morning or afternoon. Please bring along drinks and snacks.
8-12's and 5-8's - ANIMATED ADVENTURES - Create characters using plasticine, card and other exciting materials and make them come alive on screen.
Working in small groups you will get hands on experience of using cameras and laptops to make a stop motion animated film. - Receive a DVD in the post
after the workshop. (5-8's must be accompanied by an adult) Limited places.
Friday 16th April at Crediton Youth Club, East St, Crediton, EX17 3AX. £20 for the day. Please bring along drinks and a packed lunch.
12-15's - FUNKY FILMS - Come and experience the wacky world of stopmotion animation. Create plasticine characters and work with others to create
animated scenes using laptops and cameras. You'll be sent a DVD after the workshop and the film will be posted on the internet. Limited Places.
• Canoeing/Sailing/Caving (8-11 yrs and 11 – 16 yrs – Caving 8-16 yrs) These sessions are all being run by Haven Banks (Devon County Council’s own
Outdoor Education Centre). Transport is being provided for each of the 3 sessions from Queen Elizabeth’s Upper School, Western Road, Crediton (In
front of College House, opposite the traffic lights). Limited places. £12 per session including transport. Please make sure that suitable clothing and
footware is worn for all activities.
• Early Birds, Crediton 8am - 6pm (2-8yrs) Please contact the Nursery for details of pricing and registration. The address is Old Landscore, Greenway,

• Forestry Day at Ide (11 – 19yrs) This session is being run in conjunction with Crediton Youth Centre at Ide with transport from the Youth Centre, East St,
Crediton, EX17 3AX. This day could involve shelter building, navigation, sensory/nature awareness, some tool work, games, forest skills and fire lighting.
The day will be £12 per person including transport. Each child needs to wear warm clothes including hats and rain coats and bring a pack lunch and a

• Funsters Holiday Club, Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Crediton. Multi-activity holiday club run from 8.15am – 5pm by Mid Devon District Council.

• Laser Camps Exeter. 6th – 9th April Easter Holiday Mini camp (5-12yrs) at Exeter School. £89 for 4 days or £24 per day
12 -16th April at St Lukes High School, Pinhoe, Exeter (8-13yrs) £16 per day (minimum 2 days) or £75 per week. For more information or to book go to

• Street Jazz at the Crediton Methodist Hall, Union Road, Crediton, EX17 3AW. This session will be run by a teacher from the Katherine Mitchell School of
Dance. The style of dance is very similar to Street Dance. The cost for either of these sessions is £3. Limited places.

3LU or posted through the ‘FINANCE MAILBOX’ in visitors reception at Queen Elizabeth’s Upper
School. Places are limited on most activities so if you are making a booking just before the
event please phone to check availability first, thanks.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to provide receipts for every fee received but an email message will
be sent or phone call made to confirm registration. Please phone or email Tessa Adkins if you have

If numbers are low for any particular activity it may have to be cancelled but anyone who has
registered will be notified and the fee refunded (if payment received).
