GRAMMAR TOPIC: Past Simple
CONTEXTUALIZE TOPIC: What did you do on weekend?
AIMS
MAIN AIMS: to teach the students how to identify the past tense.
PERSONAL AIMS:
To identify past tense in a Reading
To create a meaningful learning about the topic.
To motivate the students to participate in the activities.
To provide students new vocabulary through games.
II. ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: The teacher suffers an accident, lack concentration of students, teacher forgets the worksheets, teacher gets sick,
teacher arrives late at school, and teacher forgets the lesson, Students finish fast the activities, teacher dont bring several activities. Teacher
doesnt bring enough photocopies.

MATERIALS: Board, markers, internet, worksheets, word search, photocopies, pieces of paper, notebooks, puzzle.

PROCEDURES The different activities you will follow for the success develop of your topic.

STAGE

PRE.

ACTIVITIES

Starting the class, teacher will greet students and


write the date on the board and will call the
attendance. Then, students will make groups of
four people and teacher will explain the game.
Students will be back to the classroom and
teacher will have a bag close to the board, in this
bag there are verbs, one person by group should
pick up a verb and the next one should find the
past tense of the verb. The group who have more
pairs of verbs will win.( Warming up)
Then, the same groups will make a puzzle that the
teacher will give them and they have to say what
adjective represent image on the puzzle.(Recycle)
Continuing with the class, teacher will give to
students a worksheet in which they have to match
a list of verbs with the past tense (live, close, work,
start, play, enjoy, cry, study, stop, admit).

WHILE

Later, teacher will introduce the new topic. Teacher


will give to the students a verb and will write on the
broad d- ed- ied. Later, teacher will say that
students who have the verbs end in (Y) should put
the verbs below the ied, the students who have
the verbs end in (e) should put the verbs below
d. And the students who have the verbs end in a
consonant should put the verb below the
ed.Then, teacher will say to students that those
end (d-ed-ied) are the past tense of regular verbs.
Then, students will take a market and will write the
past tense of those verbs on the broad according
to the teacher already said.

short worksheet in which they have to organize the
sentence putting the verb in past tense.

Product: At the end of the class students should be able to talk about each other weekend

sentence in past.
