Hi,
Currently, I am making a short documentary about volunteering for my A2 Media Studies
coursework and I was just emailing to ask if it would be OK to film at Cadets. At the
moment I only propose to ask the NCOs and Sophie R to be in it if they want to. I would
explain my idea fully to them and ensure that they get permission from their parents
where necessary. As a result, I would not intend to film any of the other Cadets or new
members. The only people who would have access to see my documentary will be myself,
my Media teacher and the examiner. If at any point the Cadets involved don't feel
comfortable with being in it I will remove their contributions where possible.
I aim to film the following types of clips, but this list is not exhaustive:

Mock up of different FA training

Interviews with NCOs about volunteering and SJA as a whole

Drill.

At the moment I am unsure when the filming would go ahead but I would try to avoid
doing it in session where possible so not to disturb them.

I dont see any issues with [you] doing that, just as [you] said have consent from the

I've got a bit of a favour I need to ask you. I'm currently in the middle of filming my A2
media production at Rednock; this means I'm creating a short documentary about SJA. As a
part of this I'd like to talk to some SJA people about their experiences and film some bits of
FA in action. Would you be available one lunch time this week to help me with this? No
problem if you don't want to! If you do I'll send you some more details shortly.

Hi,
Fabulous! Im looking to film a short piece with a number of the NCOs, including yourself,
based around your experiences in SJA, the opportunities youve had and the role of young
people. It will just be me asking you some questions that you can then talking to myself
and a camera. If I can get hold of some equipment then we might do some FA clips but,
with the presentation evening being elsewhere, this may not happen. But dont worry its
nothing massive!
I was hoping you would be available at Wednesday lunchtime to do this. It will be filmed in
the TV studio up the Art/English dept. Please bring your SJA polo shirt with you because Id
like all those in the film to be in some sort of uniform. If youve got any question just let me
know. :)
